Mountain Valley Apartments

It's a really quiet, nice neighborhood. The apartment I have was in good condition when I moved in, and I've rarely had issues since other than usual routine maintenance. There is a washer and dryer in each unit. In the complex, there is a dog park, pool, and rec center, so it's great if you'd enjoy one or all of those amenities. Property staff is very nice, and are easy to reach out to.

It's about a 6-minute drive to campus (minus heavier traffic). However, there is a really big hill you have to cross over to get to campus, so it isn't very good on gas mileage or in the winter. I'd say that is the biggest downside to the apartment complex. If you don't want to drive, they have a shuttle that goes to campus, but I have no personal experience using it. Other than that, would definitely recommend checking it out!

I like the space because it is spacious and nice but I am not from WV so that also may play in to why I have more dislikes that usual. The leasing office is really nice but the maintenance people are not the best.

Out of the way. If you want privacy, this place is great but if you're looking for a more active night life, not your scene

Apartment is too expensive for what it’s worth but you pay for the view when you live at the top of valley view avenue.

I like this place because it is well maintained and clean. Everything works and the management is easy to work with. This place has 2 "barkparks" where you can let your doggie run around in a safe, fenced area. This is a nice place to meet your neighbors. They also offer a shuttle to take you to campus, which is really nice. It is a nice quiet area and I feel completely safe when I walk my dog late at night. Nice recreation center with treadmills, weights, and a sunbed! They have free coffee in the office and the pool is well maintained. I HIGHLY recommend moving here. The management will also set you up with a roommate if you cannot secure a single unit, which is really nice if you don't know anyone in town. These apartments have a park-like atmosphere-there is grass about and trees, and you are just half a mile from the trailhead at the end of Van Voohris! I really like it hereand I think you will too.

Amenities are good, quiet place, nice scenery, but when I moved in the place was disgusting. After I cleaned it they did pay me for it so overall I’d say it’s been a good experience and I’d recommend it.
