CitySide Review

The apartment is conveniently located, has free printing, and can come furnished. These were majorly important to me in finding an apartment. But the building is so shoddy and it's freaking loud. It looks nice and is advertised as "luxury," but the walls and floors are way too thin it should be illegal. I lived on the second floor last year and couldn't rest because my upstairs neighbor went to sleep at odd hours in the early hours of the morning and I can hear every single footstep. I've since moved to the top floor, but now I can hear my next door neighbors very clearly, including their footsteps (which shake some of my furniture), their conversations, their literal sneezes. Last year I resorted to sleeping with soundproof headphones ON TOP OF earplugs and this year I still can't go without earplugs. If you have decent neighbors who aren't noisy, or secure a corner room on the top floor, it would be really worthwhile to live in this apartment, but if you're stuck with bad neighbors like I was/am, it's so miserable.

Expensive, but good management

It's a newer building, just built in the last couple years. I moved here from one of Cedarview's other properties. From my experience dealing with management companies, they are no doubt one of the best. Always friendly and helpful, and no nefarious shenanigans. It's one of the reasons I've stayed with them despite the expensive cost.

Good place but expensive!

Don’t get me wrong, I like living here. It’s a 5 minute walk to the law school, and the apartment is brand new. But you can find better for the price. I pay an ungodly amount for Bloomington, and don’t nearly get the luxury or amenities I would want for this price. The management company is overall good and receptive, but they are more concerned with the undergrads than with us. Sometimes takes a lot of haggling and pushing to get your way. Overall a good place but unless you need to be this close, there’s better options.

It's convenient

I think my experience is ok. The apartment is just a few blocks from the law school and right next to the police and fire stations so it feels safe. There are alot of undergraduates in the apartment that tend to make noise, but otherwise it's ok.
