Manayunk apt
Really cute neighborhood with gym, walking path, and restaurants in walking distance. Easy commute, right off the highway, and feels very safe.

About Manayunk
Just outside Center City lies Manayunk, a charming neighborhood with an urban feel. This Native American word means "where we to go drink", which references the Schuylkill River that runs near it. These days it could also stand for the vibrant nightlife that draws visitors from all over the Delaware...

I really like living in Manayunk. As an avid runner, I am able to live about a block from the Towpath along the river, and about a five minute walk to the Bala Cynwyd Heritage Trail, both of which are wonderful for running, walking, and biking. Before the pandemic, my roommates and I frequently went out to eat in our neighborhood, since Manayunk is packed with lots of great bars and restaurants. The only downside is that we are far enough from campus and Center City that making plans with law school friends who live in more central locations requires some coordinating in terms of drivers or rideshare services. However, the savings in rent more than make up for what I spent on Ubers meeting friends in Center City before the pandemic. Commuting to campus from Manayunk is relatively easy, especially with a car, though I do know classmates here that rely on public transportation.
Manayunk is a great neighborhood—walkable, young, fun, and growing. There are tons of good restaurants, cheap bars, and lots of college-aged residents.
Up and coming town that is popular with many undergraduate and graduate students. While not comparable to center city, the dining and bar scene is flourishing and gives you a wide variety of options to choose from, whether you are looking for a date night or a happy hour to blow off some steam. Regional rail stops make it easy to get to Philadelphia and Uber has a fairly strong presence in the area. One of the biggest drawbacks though is that parking can be extremely limited if you do not have a reserved spot and get back late at night.
Lots of young professionals and College students in a fun town with great entertainment and food on Main Street. Great access to the highway and Easy SEPTA access to downtown
I love living in Manayunk. There’s always stuff to do in the downtown area, the store owners are very friendly, and I love the cafes to study in on the weekend.
I grew up in Manayunk/Roxborough and I love it. Its out of center city but not a terrible commute, and its a great neighborhood to plein air paint. Usually it takes 20 minutes on the bus on a good day, some days it can take up to 45 minutes if there is traffic which can be annoying.
Manayunk is a very young neighborhood with lots of bars and restaurants.
Safe neighborhood, good places to walk and run outside. Nearby restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacy, etc. Public transit into city can be difficult. Parking is a challenge after 4pm.
