Solid
Overall, Ivy at Silvan is a fair trade for the location and price. The best part is undoubtedly the neighborhood, the easy access to campus and parts of Hyde Park (restaurants, stores, and transportation) needed for other activities.
My amenities are pretty decent (none included, but the management does handle all the billing except internet), the management company is responsive and I have had a great experience with maintenance. The apartments vary, but in my experience, even though everything is a little outdated and sometimes pesky (i.e. sticking doors, getting heaters to work, somewhat thin walls), there is a kind of charm to the apartment building, especially since it's in such a nice part of Hyde Park.
In addition, the neighbors are nice and there aren't too many to worry about in the building. I've rarely had an issue with sharing the on-site laundry facilities. So again, overall, I think I found a good place for my first year, but I will be leaving for something nicer, most likely.

Beware this Property
This apartment and the company are horrible. They are negligent in providing repairs, and the apartment itself has crumbling infrastructure. I cannot recommend this apartment to anyone in good faith.
