A good value but a little old
The apartment building is a bit old and could use some renovation, but it is a good value. The rent is relatively cheap for this area, and the location is good. We're close to the Red Line and close to the beach. We have a street-side view with a good amount of light. The management is helpful and always responsive. We haven't had any problems with them. The walls are moderately thin, so we can sometimes hear neighbors. The building also really has no amenities except for a laundry room and bike rack.

Great Location
Minutes to Red Line at Thorndale Stop and to the bus lines. Nice restaurants, parks, grocery stores, etc. nearby. Steps to the Lake! Units facing the street get lots of sunlight. However, the building itself and some features of the units are very old, including the windows and hardwood floors. Windows consist of many sliding parts, which freeze during winter and makes it very difficult to open, and to clean. They also leak. Also, insulation between the walls is non-existent, so you will have lots of problems with noise.

Kenmore Manor Apartments
This apartment complex is pretty basic. The management is easy to work with for the most part, and they are good at communicating. It is gated, and the people in the unit are fairly quiet. It is a nice neighborhood, with shopping close by. Unless you pay for parking, you have to look for parking everyday. The longest it has ever taken me is about 15 min, but usually takes less than 3 minutes to park. The beach is close by, and so is Lakeshore Path.
