Far from school, but great place to live.
I am married and have two kids. We love living here. The apartment is nice, the area is great, and there are lots of parks nearby. The only major downside is the commute to school. Sometimes parking is an issue if you have more than one car. Management has been very responsive and the maintenance workers have helped us out several times.

Fairly decent apartment complex
We live in Marana so we are further from campus and surrounded more by families and couples. The apartment complex is not the most glamorous but it is a nice and safe place to live in. We live in a 2B2B unit. Our unit is spacious (master bedroom is large and the guest bathroom is also big). I don't like our washer/dryer but the other appliances are not too bad. Parking can be difficult - you get one assigned space and you can choose to pay for a garage. Free parking spaces go quick so you might end up having to park a little further away and walk more but it's not too bad. We have lived here for about 3 years now and it's a comfortable environment, which is why we have stayed. It's usually pretty quiet so no disturbances. I would recommend our apartment complex! It's in a great location close to the I-10 and right by the outlet mall. We are also very close to Costco and Fry's.

Nice place but things can be improved
We like that the rent is manageable for our income and the square footage is pretty decent for a 2B2B (969 sqft). The master bedroom is big and spacious and on the opposite side from the second bedroom so sound is not as easily traveled. Although the master bathroom is small, the guest bathroom is very big and spacious so there are tradeoffs. The kitchen has a decent-sized pantry and each unit has its own laundry units. The washer and dryer are not the best and we've had a few things rip from the machines but they get the job done for the most part. All of the appliances are decent - stove, refrigerator, oven, microwave. The living room is cozy and perfect for a non-reclining /non sectional couch and a tv stand (we would like to get a sectional in the future and we would not be able to fit it here). It is connected to the dining room, which will fit an average sized table that seats 6-8 people. Not bad. We love that the kitchen has a breakfast bar, granite countertops, and we also love the color of the kitchen - dark brown. The outside patio has storage space and each room has closet space; however, we wish there was more storage space overall in the apartment. The apartment is big enough to hold all essentials (queen bed, dresser, chest, table) but not much beyond that. For example, we have a keyboard that awkwardly hangs out between our dining table and breakfast bar. The location is amazing - right in the heart of Marana, 10 min from I-10 and all of the shopping plazas such as 2 Fry's, Wal-Mart, Chipotle, In-N-Out, CVS, Wendy's, etc., 15 min from Costco, Sprouts, Petsmart, Target, and 5 min from Tucson Outlets. There is not really a surrounding neighborhood - the apartment stands alone on a street corner and is pretty big. We do not like the parking situation. Every unit has one covered parking space and additional open space are open to everyone. We have two cars and for a while, it was impossible to find an extra space until the apartment created additional spots. That was a nightmare. I do not think the apartment has enough parking spaces to accommodate for 2 cars/unit. There is also a huge dirt lot next to the complex and people just park their RVs and extra cars in that area so it is a little uncomfortable. The apartment is not truly a gated community because people can walk into the complex from the dirt lot by literally walking through two bushes. Management has switched since we have lived here. They seem to be there and around but other than occasional warning notices for parking inappropriately or swim/gym closures, they do not communicate much with the residents. They did a good job sending someone out to our unit when we were having sink issues. We enjoy the gym and pool and like that the pool is open until 10PM. The pool area has 2 newer grills and comfortable seating that people would use to BBQ on holidays pre-COVID. There are poop stations for petowners but it takes a while for the management to refill bags once they run out. People do not do a good job picking up their poop so I thought management would help but they do not do the very best job either.
