An honest review I wish the previous tenant living in apartment 133 would have written about their living experience.
To the future tenant inquiring about apartment 133:
Cons:
* Expect to hear EVERYTHING from your bedroom, and I mean EVERYTHING from your neighboring tenant in apartment 130.
* Your apartment is right underneath the main waterlines in the basement, resulting in foul hard water smells, that reek of rotten eggs mixed with chemicals, lingering in the bathroom.
* Expect to hear and be woken up, by extremely loud banging pipes heard in your unit - from the hours of 6am through midnight - daily!
* Expect to be woken up unable to breathe dazed and confused, with excruciating migraines from your neighboring tenant in apartment 130, (if you’re unlucky like myself with a resident that smokes cigarettes and weed at all hours of the days, mornings and nights x2).
For anyone with respiratory issues, please be advised. The ventilation system at Archer is a failure. It offers no protection against smoke seeping through the vents and underneath the floorboards.
* Expect the lingering smells coming from your neighboring tenant, if they are smokers, to have your bedding, clothing and everything else in your apartment, but mainly in the bedroom area reeking of smoke.
* False advertising, on the website in regards to additional closet space in the bathroom. It has been boarded up and replaced with a wall.
Pros:
* Great square footage.
To all other future tenants inquiring a Tripalink Archer Hollywood tenancy. Whilst I cannot tell you where to lease. I would feel remiss if I didn’t share my experience.
The negative reviews here are all true!
Cons:
* Upon moving in to Archer, within two weeks due to a neighboring tenants negligence, I received water damage to my property.
When my insurance company tried to get a hold of Archers management company to resolve the issue, all calls went unanswered, and no response was ever received.
* Throughout my whole tenancy at Archer I have had to deal with unpleasant foul hard water smells mask by the smell of chemicals in my bathroom. The smells dissipate but have never gone away completely.
The property manager tried to resolve this issue but unfortunately to no avail.
* As stated above, I have been unfortunate to have a neighbor and his boyfriend that smokes cigarettes and weed at all hours of the day. They also did not work so I never got a break from their nuisance. Whether it was them loudly partying, having sex or arguing etc.
I wrote multiple emails to the property manager asking for help to address my concerns, given I was recovering from multiple biopsy procedures during this time, and I received no relief. The tenants never stopped, if anything the smoking intensified, and I became increasingly frustrated and concerned about my health…
* Theft of property from both the mail room and my front doorstep.
The property manager was of no help regrettably. I waited three weeks for security footage to upload to my police report to no avail.
* Incurred excessive electricity cost.
Archer and Multifamily Utility Company are profiting off of electricity costs via their aloof RUBS billing. Expect for your electricity bill to continue to rise every month, regardless of whether you are using your electricity or not.
Archer has 40 + vacant units as of today and my electricity bill, ($238.33) is higher than it’s ever been for the past five months.
Archer refuses to be transparent about the discrepancies with tenants billing, and refuse to share the master bill.
When you inquire about the changing factors in calculations used, you will never get a definite answer. It’s always changing without notice, and are not conforming with California laws.
* Intermittent and or completely non working/ internet connections and or outages.
Archer requires tenants to comply with their mandates to sign a lease, with the knowledge that their vendor BAI internet services are unreliable.
BAI will deny all request for reimbursements due to it being a company account. Leav
