A worn apartment in need of some serious attention

We have done a LOT of work to make our apartment worth living in. It's not a terrible place, but it needs lots of attention and has lots of issues

A Solid Apartment that has needed some love

Our apartment was...fine...when we moved in. Since moving in, we have done a lot to ameliorate the property and turn it in to something much more charming. It's very well located and I can walk to the Law School in under a minute's walk. It is also about a 10-15 minute walk from downtown which is also very nice.

Affordable and Close to the School

This property is practically right across the street from the front door of the law school. For the rent price, I found it affordable, with all utilities included (not cable, but who uses that now with streaming services available?). There's a new washer and dryer here, with full set of kitchen pots and pans and the like as well as full furnishings. While my room is small, there's a ton of sunlight with 3 windows which I really enjoy. The living room also has a ton of light, and there's a lovely little second-story screened-in porch that's nice to sit out on when the weather's nice. I found my landlord to be responsive, flexible, and a safe person to rent from! My only complaints (minor) would be that the noise from the downstairs neighbors can be heard easier because of thin walls, and the temperature control gets weird with no AC and radiator heating. However, if you can get a few big fans in the room and crack a window, the problem gets solved pretty quickly. Overall, a great place to move to if you're by yourself and don't have furniture/money to spend on furniture!
