Sherwood Apartments

Sherwood apartments is safe, quiet, and responsive on all issues. My apartment was clean when I moved in and all maintenance requests are solved within 48 hours (even when our AC went out). Rent is a little expensive but they have 3 pools, a small gym, and amazon lockers to safely store packages. This is the best apartment I have lived in while in the State of Kansas and Topeka.

The apartment is nice and spacious, I feel safe living alone and have had no issues. The maintenance is quick to respond and usually pretty quick to finish the job. The dog park is clean and pretty spacious.

My wife and I have been pleased with Sherwood. The management team was very nice and always helpful, the maintenance team is very prompt, and the complex is well kept. At the end of the day, its an apartment so there are some things that are low quality (paint touch ups, baseboards, cupboards, counters, etc.). It may be older and low quality, but its not worn down and falling apart. Pretty clean when we moved in.

I think it’s a decent apartment on a nice side of town but for the price the inside could be a lot better. For luxury pricing I expect luxury living and its anything but. There is still carpet in the apartment and who knows how old the washer and dryer is. And not everything in the apartment is stainless steel. The floors probably need to be replaced. And the place could use a lot more storage space than what is offered. Also considering the price you would think that sense they blow the leaves onto the patio they could at least blow them off when asked by a resident. But other than that if your gonna pay 945 for an apartment you might as well move into the new apartments their building called the wheat field village apartments because at least your paying the luxury price for luxury apartments

I would say it's pretty good. It is kind of expensive, but the place is nice. The lady downstairs has a dog that barks and that is kind of annoying but that could happen anywhere. The staff at the complex is good!

I love living at Sherwood. The rent is reasonable for the size and quality of apartment, maintenance is very responsive, and landscaping is well-kept. Our apartment has plenty of big windows, which bring in great sunlight. It feels peaceful to live in this complex. There is a dog park, three pools, and a (very) small fitness center, which are also well-kept. There is an Amazon locker available on the property to keep your Amazon packages safe! It's an awesome bonus. If you have children, the school district is great, as well. Plenty of kids live at this property. I have really enjoyed my time living here.

Sherwood is located in Topeka, so it is about a 30-40 minute commute to the KU campus. This is not ideal for everyone, but Topeka can be a great compromise if your partner/spouse has obligations elsewhere or if you are not especially interested in the "college town" feel of Lawrence. My partner and I chose Topeka as a compromise between Lawrence and Emporia.
