Literally right across West End Ave from campus

Not the fanciest apartment building and occasionally noisy since it shares a back lot with some restaurants but so close to campus and Centennial Park and a lot of great food places.

General Review

The location is super close to campus but walking home at night doesn't feel very safe. The apartment is economical but has cock roaches problem.

Very close to main campus, a safe location

The place is spacious for two people, it is now 1730$. It is 2min walk from the Vanderbilt main campus and 15min from the Peabody campus. The rent is reasonable and water is included. A parking spot is available and assigned. There are two bus stops nearby number 7 and 3.

No Frills, Affordable & Convenient

This apartment building is just that, apartments. No pool, gym, or other amenities. But it's very affordable and walking distance from the law school, it only takes me about 8 minutes to get from my front door to the law building. The location is also close to several restaurants and Centennial Park. Each unit comes with one designated parking spot, and street parking is available in front of the building and on the adjacent blocks. Rentals are handled by individual unit owners, so check Zillow for openings.

Review

Sort of like a dorm. Close to the law school with cheap rent.

Cheap and Safe

No issues with safety. Each unit is individually owned and leased, so keep in mind that experience in landlord dependent. Our landlord is great and keeps us informed of any issues within the building. There is an issue with packages going missing sometimes, especially if left out for extended periods of time.

For the location and the price, you really cannot beat it.

Bang for buck

Apartment is nearby Elliston Place, which can be loud with traffic and college partygoers on Thurs-Saturday nights. Trash isn't picked up often enough. However, this place is adjacent to Centennial Park, many coffee shops, Thai food, BBQ food, pizza, sushi, donuts, and I am a quick <15 minute walk to the hospital. The walk is through the main undergraduate campus which is always beautiful. I've lived here for 3 years and will stay for 4. Also, the patios are decent. Got a nice little garden going on.

Elliston Quarters on Elliston Place

Overall, very happy here. It is my 2nd year living in this apt with my roommate, who is also in medical school. There are no special amenities to the location, and it is definitely less nice than Bristol. However, I am a 10 (fast) or 15 (normal) minute walk to the hospital/EBL, and we each save literally hundreds of dollars every year in living here. Neighbors mostly keep to themselves but are overall quiet. Downside to the location is that Elliston Pl can be loud with ambulances en route to St Thomas Hospital. On the upside, there's much coffee within walking distance and good bites to eat. Also, Centennial park for running & biking is ~1.5 blocks away.
