Moved here start of MS2, has made life so much easier not to have to take the 75/71 buses back into Shadyside and back and walk up the hill to class. It’s easier to run down the hill to catch a bus everywhere, and I try to time things around the 81/83 bus which takes you right back up the hill. I can get to class in 5 minutes.

Apartment is small, but bigger and better-shaped than the Darragh apartments. You’re here for the location. Noise level has been much better than when I lived in a multi-unit converted house in Shadyside. Management is super responsive to any issues (replaced faucet entirely when it leaked), but there haven’t really been issues to speak of. Only cons I can think of are the electricity bill/window A/C, and that I originally wanted a gas stove. The only noise has been occasional parties from an undergrad who must live here, but it has only been a few weekends.

Overall I would highly recommend it.

Building is a little older but landlord is very responsive and it’s very pet friendly!

The location is great, really easy walk to scaife. Parking and water are included with rent and the building is super pet friendly (no extra pet rent or fees). Management is helpful and responsive to concerns, renewing my lease for next year !

The apartment is great for the price. I share a 1 bedroom apt with my boyfriend, so we each pay around $500 per month which is super cheap! It also comes with free parking which is a bonus. Pets are allowed for no additional fees. There is no central air but they provide window AC units which work pretty well. Kitchen and bathroom are recently remodeled and pretty nice. The place is small but worth the low price and it’s very close to school (about a 7 min walk). The area isn’t as safe as other places like Shadyside so I don’t walk home alone at night out of precaution, but I haven’t had any issues with safety. Overall it is pretty nice; we are only moving so that we can have a bigger place to be more comfortable with remote school and working from home. We did have a wasp nest outside our window last fall and lots of wasps got into our apartment, but I think that was just bad luck. Other people in our building haven’t had any pest problems.

The apartment is really close (~5 mins walk) to Scaife which was super convenient and the management company was very quick to respond to maintenance requests. A significant drawback, however, is the lack of grocery stores or other shopping within walking distance. This made it not feel like a neighborhood and is the reason I am moving to Friendship for the next year
