Overall rating 7.5/10, based on 4 renter reviews Write a review
Madison Midtown Apartments
Apartments themselves are fairly new and very nice. Definitely on the cheaper end of rent for the quality you’re getting. There is a gym with minimal equipment but enough for a little workout and treadmills to walk/run on. The pool area is also very nice. Biggest downside is the safety. There are frequent car break ins, multiple cars stolen, and even some residents robbed of their car at gunpoint. To date, there have been 4 shootings directly (quite literally directly) in front of my apartment facing Madison Ave. The particular part of Madison Ave directly outside of the complex has also become a popular site for people to hang outside of their cars blasting music at around 2 AM and do donuts and burnouts in the middle of the street (happens probably 1-2 times a week). If you’re considering living here and are not a heavy sleeper, try to live as far away from the Madison Ave side of the complex as possible.

Overall nice place
New complex finished ~2021. As such, it has had only some minor issues as far as the building has been concerned. There have been some issues with car break-ins; however, this is ubiquitous throughout the city. The gym is much larger and better equipped than most apartment gyms.

Madison Midtown Apartments
Madison Midtown apartments are very nice apartments at a reasonable price. They are just a few years old so consequently the interiors of the apartments have very appliances, counters, etc. There is a decent gym in the complex as well that at the very least, has treadmills you can walk on while watching a lecture/doing some work. The apartments themselves are relatively quiet (I have never had a noise issue from another apartment in the 2 years I’ve lived there). I feel safe walking from my car to my building at night. Very convenient location, being about 10 minutes from just about anything you’d need, and about 1.5 miles from campus.
However, there are some realistic negatives. Despite gated parking, there are still monthly car break ins. I do not leave anything worth any value in my car, and have never had any issues, make of that what you will. Additionally, being in Midtown, it falls victim to the “block-by-block” safety of the area, with some crime spilling into the immediate surrounding area of the apartments. While I feel very safe in my apartment, I would not go walking outside the gates at night, and would also keep my head on a swivel during the day. All in all, I do little things to ensure my safety at these apartments, and therefore have never had any issues or concerns, making these apartments a very good value for what I get. I plan on staying in the same exact apartment all throughout my 4 years.

Madison Midtown
Living here has been pretty great! The staff/maintenance crew are very helpful and efficient, it is only 5-10 minutes from campus with a super easy drive, and the apartments were built only 2 years ago so everything is very updated and new! If I had one complaint, I think it's just a little overpriced based on the amount of space we have, but everything is so new that I really can't complain. We also purposefully chose a smaller apartment to save money. Also, whenever there are storms and people lose power on Mud Island or Midtown, we have never lost power. (Yet. Hopefully I'm not jinxing it.)
