Small 1 bed room/1 bath. The apartment is in a house that was turned into 5 individual apartments. All the other tenants are law students or grad students.

Pluses: near campus, newish windows, internet worked well (but you pay separate for that); management company is very quick and responsive
Negatives: Gets cold, had to threaten legal recourse to get landlord to deal with it, Landlord made is painfully hard to get to approved subtenant even though she was a working professional in her late 20s; landlord will randomly decide to do fix ups on apartment that make life hard (e.g., giving 2 days notice on fixing grout in shower that required me not to sue the shower for 48 hours)

The apartment is beautiful and has plenty of space for me and my needs. New appliances, remodeled bathroom, new flooring, etc. Ken (landlord) is a very upfront, honest, and responsible person who only asks that you be a respectful tenant. Could not recommend highly enough for a convenient location near the law school where you can still divorce yourself from it.

It's pre-furnished, close to campus, and actually has a good amount of space. The place can get a bit cold because the person in Apt #1 sets the temp for the rest of the building. The other folks who live in the building are all grad students, so it's generally pretty quiet. Although, it is near a couple of undergrad houses that can get bit rowdy when on game days and the like. The management company is very responsive to my needs. It feels expensive for what you are getting, but unfortunately that's just Ann Arbor. The shower is also old and broken in many ways, but the landlord has assured me he will be addressing that this year.

Sunny, spacious, furnished one-bedroom close to campus. The building is older and only has 5 units, so it doesn't have the same amenities as some of the newer apartment complexes, but it's well-maintained and the rent is very reasonable.
