Small but, updated

Our place is in a really great location in Wicker Park, close to restaurants, cafes, bars, and shops but also just up Ashland from school. The apartment itself is very small, but has updated appliances, in-unit washer dryer, and big bedrooms which is nice. It has a nice patio out back, but in hindsight we don't really get the opportunity to use it much with the weather and school. We also have free storage in the basement which has been great as both me and my roommate are from out of state and can't bring extra furniture home. We do live above a store which throws parties every once in a while which is quite frustrating before exams, but so far has not been too much of a problem. I like that there's a buzzer system to get into the apartment and speak with people before letting them in as we're on a busier street, so it feels a bit safer. A lot of our friends moved to West Loop this year which has made living in wicker park a little less social, but it is not far out of the way to go there and many of our friends lived in Wicker during M1.
