Decent Location
It has a decent location. You are within walking distance of both Deep Ellum and Uptown, but in the immediate vicinity you don't have much around. There are also a lot of homeless people that sit outside the building, and trash is left around a lot. The building itself is alright, except things seem to always be breaking.

Downtown Dallas Reviews
I have always slept with earplugs but I don't find Downtown Dallas to be particularly noisy at night. There are a lot of sirens from fire/ambulance but there is not a lot of noise from people being rowdy at night. There is obviously more on the weekends but still not enough to really be a bother. If you move to a downtown area, more noise than in a suburban neighborhood is to be expected.
Disappointing things about downtown: there is no grocery store! There is a CVS and several 7/11s but no grocery store in walking distance.
-walking outside is fine during the day, but I would buddy-system at night if you are a girl.
The Deep Ellum community is friendly and you will always see people jogging or walking their dogs in the area.
