Uptown
Great location if you’re looking to live in Uptown. Right next to a Kroger and LA Fitness so no driving needed to get to those essentials. It’s about a 45 minute drive on average to the law school, sometimes over an hour if traffic is bad. No complaints about the apartment itself.

Pros & Cons
There was construction for a large majority of our lease which was fine when we were working during the days, but during the work-from-home days became cumbersome. It also hindered any use of our balcony, which could be annoying but this issue did result in a lower monthly rate.
Neighbors could be loud from time to time because the demographic was pretty young and fairly well off.
Walking distance to a Kroger, LA Fitness and Target are big selling points.
Maintenance was usually timely and helpful, but management in the leasing office were often rude and unhelpful.

Great complex
I love my apartment complex. The complex itself has a lot of nice amenities. It has two pools, a gym, a dog park, just to name a few. In addition, it is really close to a dart rail station, and since SMU students are able to get passes from the university, it provides a cost-effective method to get around (routes to school, shopping centers, DFW airport, etc.). If you don't have a car or just prefer not to drive, living at 2660 Cityplace is ideal. Not only is there a Kroger grocery store next door, a Target department store is right across the street for all of your household needs. There are also a lot of nearby restaurants, parks, and shops.

Cityplace
Living at 2660 Cityplace is a pretty good deal. It's a lot cheaper than you could find downtown or in uptown. The area is a little shady at times, but it's still a great deal. Amenities are great (nice pool, gym, business center). Haven't had any problems/complaints with the management company. I miss living near college friends, but we all have to grow up I guess.

Overall, really fun!
There are a lot of 20-somethings that live here so the pool is a lot of fun in the summer, but the hallways can be loud on the weekends. Maintenance requests take forever though so be sure to send follow up emails. The apartments overall are pretty with dark wood floors and cabinets and all the appliances are new. Just be ready to party and make some friends :)
