good apartment and great location for med school. some trouble with the heating/cooling and Hometeam is not the best landlords, we always have issues with incorrect charges on our account. but overall good apartment have lived here for 3 years.

Overall a good place for your first couple years on a budget. The neighborhood is safe and there are tons of other grad students around. It is just an 8-10 minute walk from Moritz too!

A problem the apartment has is the a/c. There are just a/c units in the rooms and none in the main room so it gets hot in the summer. Hometeam overall has gotten better these past years in communicating and responding to problems, but I would not recommend this long term. Just for the years where you are on a budget.

Hometeam Properties is infamous for being very unresponsive to tenant needs; when I my AC (window unit) was filled with black mold in mid-August, maintenance did not show up until mid-September to take care of it (despite calling the office 10+ times.) The whole unit only has one AC unit, so we were without AC for all of August and most of September. The heaters only have four modes – off, low, medium, and high – so there is no way to precisely control the temperature in the winter.

Additionally, the whole apartment only has two windows, one in each bedroom. The view from both windows is blocked by another apartment building immediately next to us. So, natural light is basically non-existent.

However, the unit is pretty clean and has an updated kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a gas stove. I also feel very safe in the apartment. Additionally, I have never had any packages stolen.
