This is the second floor of a townhouse (two apartments in total) and it's located in between Squirrel Hill and Greenfield. The apartment is nice, is well maintained in general, they just had to fix a couple of things such as door handles and dishwasher. The management team replies back fast and they have handle whatever issue we have had. It has sunlight on both sides of the apartment and there's a backyard that's shared with the neighbor from the first floor. It has also has a basement, where they keep the washer and dryer, and there's also storage space in there.
Two blocks away from the apartment there's a bus stop and a Giant Eagle, which is very convenient. It also has street parking for free and it's very close to the highway exit, so you can get very fast to many places.
The first and huge disadvantage of this apartment is that it doesn't have centralized AC, and during the summer it can get really hot, especially because there's lots of sunlight coming in in the afternoon. The management gave us an AC unit but it wasn't enough, we had to buy another one (much bigger) and an window AC for our bedroom, and it wasn't that cool as we would have wanted to. The second disadvantage is that the apartment is located in a very busy street, so there's cars all the time and it can get noisy and complicated to cross the street.
If you're a student, this is not that close to school, it's a 30-35 min bus ride, it's not bad either, and there are two bus lines that come kind of frequent.
