Overall rating 6.5/10, based on 2 renter reviews Write a review
Great for community living and access to campus, but has administrative issues
The proximity to campus is the best feature of the Ridge. The walk to the law school is 6-7 minutes, and the walk to the on-campus rec center is about 15. Additionally, Lullwater preserve is steps away, as well as the hospital and other on-campus buildings that are great for studying.
Regarding the apartment itself, the facilities are decent and the leasing staff are kind. However, the administration of the building is lacking. We have had around 15-20 fire alarms this school year, and wifi outages, power outages, and elevator outages are common. Additionally, all entrances to the building are on the opposite side as the parking garage and street parking, making for inconvenient coming and going. Delivery drivers are almost always lost trying to find where they should drop off packages. While the leasing staff is kind, they make little effort to address these ongoing issues. As the newness of the building wears off, these inconveniences are likely to worsen.
The unit itself has reliable appliances and the space is comfortable, even if slightly cheap in nature. The 2 bedrooms get natural light and have plenty of living space for two people, as well as large bathrooms and desk areas.
If you're looking to build community, it's also a fantastic choice. My roommate is in a different academic program than me, which has opened doors to lots of friendships. For that reason alone, I am considering renewing my lease.

Grad housing
Recommend getting top floor. Thin ceiling walls, can hear footsteps above.Otherwise exceptional staff, great location- just a block away from the law school. Bear in mind rooms are quite small, but good for just 1 person.
