So Convenient but Terribly Managed
Disrespectful neighbors - LOUD parties every night of the week even during COVID; dog feces/urine left in the halls regularly; cigarette smoke in stairwells, hallways, and parking garages even though the complex does not allow this
Lazy current management (but someone else is taking over soon) - our vehicles have been broken into SEVERAL times in the "secure" parking garages along with many other residents' and management does nothing; trash bins are often overflowing; if you live in building 1 (where the leasing office and gym are located) it will always be spotless and cared for but the other two buildings rarely even get mopped; homeless people regularly urinate, vomit, and sleep in building stairwells
Neighborhood parking is terrible - construction workers flock to the area and take all street parking during the day because this is one of the only areas with non-time-restricted street parking in downtown; during the baseball season evening parking is impossible for the same reason. Plan on paying for a parking spot for each of your vehicles ($35 for the first, $150 per spot after that)
Building construction is horrible - literally like living in a cardboard box. Can hear every step the neighbor above me takes, can hear conversations of people on the sidewalk even though I live on the 4th floor, can hear people walking up and down building stairwells, windows leak drafts (and water) in the winter and let out A/C in the summer
HOWEVER it's the cheapest rent in the area and it is convenient to everything. It takes 25 minutes to get to CU Boulder most days because the drive is all highway. I can walk to Union Station in 10 minutes and hop on a bus that goes directly to campus with minimal stops, a major grocery store is less than a 5 minute walk away, and many bars, restaurants, and entertainment in downtown Denver are within a 40 minute or less walk (Coors Field 5 minutes, LODO 5-10 minutes, Denver Performing Arts Complex 30 minutes, Highlands 15 minutes, Pepsi Center 20 minutes, Confluence Park 10 minutes, Mile High 35 minutes)
