Decent price for size and location

The complex is in a great location. It's very close to the 1/3/801/803/990/656 bus lines, which makes it very easy to get to most of UT and downtown, though it's easier to bike to the LBJ school than take the bus due to timing. It's also very close to the Triangle, which has fantastic burger, Italian, and Mediterranean restaurants. It's also a quick walk (~15 minutes) to North Loop (which has a 24-hr coffee shop, bars, and vintage stores), GoodWill and BookPeople, a comic book store, a fantastic taco truck in Hyde Park, and much more.

The pool is well-maintained and neighbors are very respectful. It can be difficult to get a hold of management, but they respond to repairs pretty quickly. Apartments trap humidity in the winter, which can cause condensation and mold on windowsills if you don't get a dehumidifier — but that's an easy fix. We've also had an issue with fruit flies, but keeping food waste in the freezer and fruits/veggies in the fridge keeps them away!

Amazing, big windows in the living and dining areas and a big walk-in closet. We also have an in-unit washer/dryer.

The Sidney

A great value in a wonderful location. If you're on a budget and want to live in Hyde Park, The Sidney is a great choice. The apartments aren't going to have granite countertops and beautiful fixtures, but that's not the appeal. Within walking distance of the Triangle and close to the UT and downtown bus lines.

Access to the 7 bus line straight to campus was great, and it's a short walk to North Loop restaurants and bars. I walked or took the bus to campus every day. The Hyde Park Shopping center is also great, with good food, a great bakery/coffee shop, and grocery store for quick trips. Hyde Park is a great residential neighborhood for walking/jogging (even though 45th St is pretty busy, and crosswalks are few and far between).

Very central location. Lots of students, young professionals, and families in the area. There are some local restaurants and shops in the neighborhood that are easy to walk to. Very safe neighborhood as well.

Hyde Park is the cutest neighborhood in Austin. It is very walkable and has restaurants, book stores, grocery stores, and parks. It is particularly ideal for people living with partners or families. It is a 10 minute bus ride from campus.

I like Hyde Park a lot. Great for taking walks around because there's a lot of low traffic volume streets. I live in North Hyde Park so I can't walk to class but biking only takes me about 10-15 minutes. Also Hyde Park has a lot of grocery options including Fresh Plus, Central Market, and HEB.
