Damaged apartment
When I first moved in, my apartment was not move-in ready and most of the problems that I have dealt with have been a result of that. My apartment was water damaged at some point before I moved in, so there is a major humidity issue, possible mold, and a roach problem. It is also extremely dark. The management is nice, but I don't feel that anything that they have done has really helped the situation. I have other friends who live at this apartment that have not had a problem.

Live Somewhere Else
Management is awful and property is outdated. Undergrads live here and it is often very loud. Something breaks in my apartment every week and they fix things that need stitches by slapping on a bandaid. It is not that much cheeper than other options, so you should just live somewhere else.

3401 Red River
Persistent cockroach issues. Virtually no control over HVAC. Most of the winter, heat just does not turn on.

Convenient location and friendly staff
My experience living at 3401 at Red River has been very positive overall. The management here is wonderful, extremely friendly and responsive to tenant questions and requests. We have a nice pool and grilling space. The complex is very pet-friendly. This is the only place I've ever lived in Texas that doesn't have cockroaches, which is a pleasant surprise. Most importantly, I'm super close to campus: it takes only 15 min to walk or 5 minutes to bike to my classes each day! The convenience factor is the best part of living here. My apartment feels decently nice, though I wish my untie got much more natural light. Also, I believe the rent here is too expensive for the quality.

Centrally located and great outdoor facilities, but little natural light.
This place has a TON of amenities: concierge, computer area with printing ability, free coffee/tea in the office, killer pool (though sometimes crowded), two BBQ grills and a place to entertain guests, new floors and appliances. The one drawback is that the apartments are very dark with no natural lighting, so get close with your lamps. I love how spacious they are, and that it's a short bus ride to downtown, and though I'm not a student, it's walking distance to UT.
