10/10 recommend

Downtown living is the best - you are central to the East side and west side of town. 10-15 minutes from campus. Safe area and next to the Flats! Lots to do downtown. 2 floor gym and community area in apartment building - good for studying spot.

Great place to live!

I've had a great experience overall! Experience a variety of maintenance issues with laundry machine, sinks, toilet but the maintenance staff responds almost immediately and everything has been resolved quickly. The leasing staff is also great and super attentive! Great location downtown, includes view of the lake, Browns stadium, and city from the rooftop! Two floor gym and community area where I tend to study. 1 minute walk to the Flats. Grocery market right next door. Less than 3 minute drive onto any highway. About 15 minutes to campus - very easy & straight commute. Laundry in unit as well- which is a huge plus! One downfall - it can get loud & rowdy on the weekends. I tend to study elsewhere at that time.

Archer Apartments-1 bedroom

The Archer is located in the Warehouse District of Downton Cleveland and features spacious apartments with an industrial feel. The apartment comes with a modern kitchen with updated appliances and an in unit washer and dryer. The building is very safe and you use a key fob to enter your apartment and scan into the building. The building has many convenient amenities including a pet spa, dog run, roof top, two level gym, and business center with a printer. The gym is also connected to a studio where you can take fitness classes on demand. The staff even deliver your packages straight to your apartment. Easy access to the Flats with options for coffee and food. There is even a coffee shop on the first floor of the building!

There have been some maintenance issues including smoke detector alarm issues, my microwave broke randomly, and my tub has had issues with drainage. However, the maintenance team are on call 24 hours and are usually quick to respond to maintenance requests. There are also no overhead lights in the living room and bedroom so you will need lots of lamps.

Great place to live!

I've loved my experience while living at the Archer so far. There is a super cozy common area that I tend to go downstairs to study in, since it is rarely used by anyone. It has flat screen TVs, a fire place, couches, vending, etc.. The complex has a 2 floor gym, as well! Parking is a little pricey ($120 outside, $150 indoor heated garage), but it is well worth it as water is included in rent and my electrical bill is fairly cheap each month. It can get noisy on weekends, but that is expected while living downtown. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating! Also, the building is right next to the Flats! Tons of good restaurants, groceries, etc. and easily accessible to the highway/shoreway! Most of the units have incredible views of the lake, downtown Cleveland, and the Flats! Overall, I couldn't speak more highly on this apartment complex! It is pricier than most housing rent, however there is so much included in the price that it makes it completely worth it!

Nice apartment, young tenants

Very nice apartments themselves and full of lots of young people. Great location. Only downside is occasional Friday and Saturday night fire alarm pulls from drunk tenants but they say they are starting to crack down on it

The location of the building is great in the sense that you are close to anything you may need. There are grocery stores, bars, restaurants, sport stadiums, and public transport within minutes of walking. Which is great and very convenient if you don't want to have a car! The only drawback is that there is a lot of transit of people during the day, sometime drunk people due to the casinos or the sports game, and sometimes homeless. Which can make it feel unsafe to go out at night. However, there is a lot of security around the square and inside the building 24/7.
Nightlife is great and being located in the Gateway district, there is close access to sports games as well. East 4th St. has wonderful restaurants and bars and is very safe. You do however need to be aware of where exactly you are at night, as sometimes walking one block off the main path will put you in a dangerous area. Public transit, especially the HealthLine, is very convenient and brings me from right outside my door straight to UH.
Downtown in Cleveland is perfect. A quick uber to any other neighborhood, close to tower city, and all highways meet downtown. Traffic because of that can be annoying but realistically only if you're on ninth and/or trying to get on the highway and only from around 4 to 6.
I feel very safe here. Indoor and outdoor parking (between $120-150/month) but it is gated and extremely safe; cameras all around. Overall, it's a very young area and I always feel safe walking around.
Great location! Walking distance to tons of restaurants, bars, and all the stadiums. I haven't ever felt unsafe, but it is downtown in a large city.
Living downtown isn't for everyone, but as someone who enjoys the city, East 4th street is a great place to live. As a Case grad student I love living right by a Healthline stop, which means I don't need to purchase a university parking pass and drive to school. I'm a 3 min walk from Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse, a 5 min walk from Progressive Field, and a 20 min walk from the Cleveland Browns stadium. East 4th Street itself offers tons of food and entertainment options, from bars to restaurants to clubs to a comedy club and bowling alley. While this is great for stuff to do, it can also making driving and parking a nightmare if you're hosting visitors any time that there is an event going on in CLE. Additionally, resident parking downtown is minimum $150-200/mo., so you'll want to factor that into your rent if you have a vehicle.
It is located right downtown on Euclid Avenue. The area seems pretty safe during the day, however it does not feel safe at night. The area also gets extremely busy when there is a sporting or other event happening downtown. I have also found that a lot of shopping has to be done outside of downtown.
Because of covid, I think the downtown scene has changed a lot since I’ve been here. Everyone says downtown Cleveland is pretty dangerous but I haven’t felt that way about the area immediately around the Bingham or the flats. The public square area and playhouse square can be a little sketchy at night and there are a good amount of homeless people there.
