Location, Amenities & Updated
I have lived in this apartment for over 3 years (renewed for a 4th). It is a great area for young professionals (about 90% of the neighborhood is made up of mid-20s year-olds in mid-rise buildings). There are plenty of trees, many people walk their dogs in the area, and it is relatively affordable given the location. It is a short walk (2 blocks away) to many bars and restaurants on Henderson (and Lower Greenville, depending on the weather), but is not too close that I have heard any loud noise from the bars. Depending on lights and traffic, it takes 5-15 minutes to get to SMU. The maintenance is great, the pool is the best I've seen in Dallas, and the finishings in the apartment are updated and modern. There is a CVS across the street, and three grocery stores within a 3 minute drive. Maintenance has been absolutely and consistently wonderful.
Small downsides: The area is only moderately safe after dark (I would not often go out alone in the middle of the night, but that's the case pretty much anywhere in the city). The leasing office is 50-50; some leasing agents are very responsive and attentive, while others need to constantly be reminded of actions needed on their end. An average of 1 elevator is usually broken, but there are three in the building.

Very Pleasant Experience
I've had an overall pleasant experience at Strata. The front office is responsive, kind, and occasionally host happy hours on Fridays, which can be fun. The pool and common areas are aesthetically pleasing, and it's overall great place. I've enjoyed it.

Love the Strata
As a whole I love this apartment! Pros: hardwood floors, granite counters, top notch appliances, garden tub, huge walk-in closet, open layout in living room/kitchen. Cons: no linen/coat closet, parking garage gate was broken very often and the noise! I know they cant necessarily help the construction being done but I have heard it every day for 10 months. They start as early as 6am and end around 7pm. It made it really hard to enjoy my home when I constantly heard jack hammering or beeping tractors. The management was great overall. Sometimes it was difficult to find a human body in the office but once I did they were always efficient in meeting my needs.
