Graduate housing

Great apartment complex in terms of proximity and safety. Being a first year grad student usually involves a lot of late nights at school or in the lab, so this was the perfect choice.
Great location, many restaurants and grocery stores nearby.
Slightly expensive on a graduate student budget, but worth it for at least the first year of grad studies.

Expensive, but worth it for the convenience

Although the rent is higher than other apartments nearby, the safety and convenience makes up for it. Uptown is right outside the door and it a ten minute walk to Case and UH. The management is amazing and very helpful. Maintenance is both quick and effective with any problems I may have. Since it is Case-owned, the internet is CaseWireless, which makes it very convenient to access websites for school. ( no VPN!) There is more than enough space and I even have a balcony! I wish there were ceiling lights in the living room and bedroom, but lamps work just the same.

Perfect size, great location, lots of light

The Triangle has been a great place to live for my first year in medical school. Although the apartment is on the expensive side, especially for Cleveland, the location and amenities can't be beat. I have a one bedroom Junior apartment, which is the perfect size for one person. The building is clean and well-maintained, and although it is not a brand new building, it has been updated appropriately and is definitely much newer than the places on Overlook. All important amenities are included and you are on Case Wireless so there is no need for your own router and you definitely never have internet issues. My favorite perk is the free laundry. The management is lovely - they are very polite and work orders are taken care of the day I put in the request. Overall you get what you pay for! It's a great place to live!

Relatively small for price, but convenient

The big selling point is the location. The Triangle is very convenient, and is walking distance from many restaurants and stores. It is also great for students going into the health professions as it is about 10 minutes walking distance from the Health Education Campus (medicine, nursing, dentistry, etc.). The building is older, and definitely gives off the dorm room vibe, but the management company is responsive to maintenance requests. Overall, there is certainly cheaper/newer options around the area, but the premium is reasonable considering the convenience of the location.

Great Location

Great Location with all utilities included
Included in rent is also internet and cable.
Laundry is also included.
The management office is the best and is open later to allow you to pick up packages after normal business hours.
Only downside in my mind is the price compared to other apartments around the area.
But I think you can't beat the location especially as a medical student.

Great location, very convenient, but on the pricier side

Triangle is a great place to live. It's about a 7 minute walk from my apartment to IQ in the morning, which is very appreciated given that IQ is 3x/wk at 8AM. Triangle is located in Uptown, which has developed over the recent few years to include many restaurants, the bookstore, a grocery store, bars, Starbucks, Mitchell's ice cream (just downstairs! dangerous..), a yoga gym, etc. Never fear starving when exam time rolls around. This recent development has also contributed to making the area safer. The price is on the upper end for Cleveland, but I think it's worth it given the fact that utilities, internet, laundry, and a small gym is included. The management is also very approachable and prompt, and I never have to worry about any maintenance/apartment issues. A parking garage is available (for a monthly fee) if you do choose to bring a car.

Nice Apartments for a decent price

The Triangle Apartments are great for living in. It is pricier than other apartments located further away from the school, but is great if you want the "whole package." All utilities are included, so you do not pay a dime on top of rent (unless you want your own internet network, or parking). Parking is administered through the school, and not through the housing office.

Overall, the buildings are old, but renovated thoroughly. They are not as nice as the Uptown Apartments, but are also not as expensive.

The best place to live for CWRU student.

I definitely recommend this apartment to people who are going to be Case students.
It located in the center of everything good restaurants, bowling lanes, Bars, supermarket and also close to RTA train station and Little Italy.
The best thing is the management team. They are the best. The manager and the maintenance teams are working efficiently and willing to help you.

Getting around University Circle

University Circle Reviews

125 reviews
It's part urban and part suburban. There are nice walking trails around wade oval, but could be dangerous if you're alone during the early or late hours of the day. Walk with a friend or group of friends.

Close enough to campus buildings so there was enough light that I felt safe enough, but once I left campus, felt a little more alert.
The building is in between two large hospitals, Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals, making it very easy for me to get to class/rotations. It is generally safe. The Case Western Reserve University police and Cleveland Clinic patrol the area almost constantly, and I have always felt secure. Additionally, I am close to museums, coffee shops, libraries, bars, and nice places to eat, study, and hang out.
It's a wonderful neighborhood - walking distance to all the museums, botanical gardens, and some of the best restaurants in Cleveland. Also walking distance to a couple coffee shops and the CWRU library and student center, so ideal for studying. The best part: < 5 min commute to school and you get to avoid Cedar coming down the hill.
Living in University Circle while in law school has made a stressful experience pleasant and less complicated. The walk to campus (which is in University Circle) is fabulous - not having to battle hospital traffic and find parking is great. There's a Constantino's Market that provides all grocery needs. University Circle has a diverse range of food options - from upscale dining at L'Albatros, to comfort food in Little Italy, to fast casual in Uptown, you could probably eat somewhere different every night for a month, all within walking distance.

University Circle is THE hub for cultural activity in Cleveland. The Cleveland Museum of Art is my favorite place in the Circle. It has fabulous permanent exhibits and brings in wonderful temporary exhibitions. The museum hosts social events that are perfect for young people more than once a month. The Circle also contains Severance Hall - home of the Cleveland Orchestra, the Cleveland Botanical Gardens, the Natural History Museum, and more!

The area is fairly safe as it is heavily patrolled by UCPD and Campus Police. Ambulances frequent the area to get to the hospital, but that is the only noise complaint I've ever heard of.

I couldn't be happier about living right in University Circle during law school.
The neighborhood is very safe, although I only walk to and from school. From park lane, I would not walk to go grocery shopping as there are not stores nearby except for rite aid.
neighbors are friendly, though due to the location and the vast majority of the people living in the building are working or going to school, rarely see neighbors. The most active time with people in the building are on Friday nights through Saturday night.
There is a lot of things to do in the neighborhood now. It is feeling more like a campus area, with some local flavor mixed in.
There is a grocery store that is very convenient and also the normal college campus chain restaurants like Chipotle.
This is a safe neighbourhood as it's located in the heart of university circle. There are lots of restaurants within one minute walking distance and the public transport connectivity is very good.
