A pretty decent apartment in a nice area
This is an old building, which is very clear but the management is super helpful and the area is very nice, being only a 15 minute walk from campus and a 10 minute walk down to Little Italy! It isn't too noisy, however the walls are thin so it is expected to be able to hear your neighbors at times. Also, given the area, there is always something going on outside (ambulance, cops, garbage trucks, cleaners, etc.) but I would still highly recommend this place to anyone!

No frills, convenient location
Convenient location in Cleveland Heights, 15 min walk from school. Covered parking behind the building at $45/month. Very responsive management (often responding to requests within the same business day), heat is covered in the winter (a huge plus) but can't be controlled since it's central. Fans/window AC definitely needed in the winter. Lots of sunlight on the top floors, not sure about below. Laundry located on ground floor.

Property Investment- very good landlord!
Our apartment itself is quite old, and dark in the summer time when the trees outside block out all the light, while sunlight to the bedroom windows are blocked by the building next door. But, what makes living here great is the landlord. Edward Silver and his Property Investment company is SO responsive to requests. When I first moved in, the carpets in the bedroom were dirty. One call and Edward Silver sent people in and changed all the carpets in a day. There were times when we emailed them a maintenance request, and it was taken cared of the next morning at 8am. When other buildings did not have heat late in the fall, we had heat as soon as the weather turned chilly (the radiators are adjustable so we can turn off of the heat ourselves any time). My roommate and I are looking to move to a different unit with hopefully better sunlight, but we very much hope to be able to stay with the same management company.

Nice, quiet place for pretty cheap
While the building itself is fairly old, it's well maintained with large spacious rooms. Not only is there a large living room, but the apartment also has a separate dining room and some (like mine) have a sunroom!
Pros:
- The management company is fantastic - they're very responsive to any work orders and are very accommodating in general (they changed out the bedroom carpets on short notice when we first moved in at no charge)
- Sunroom - I cannot emphasize how nice it is, especially in the winter
- The apartment somehow stays relatively cool in the summer
- Heat is turned on fairly early in the fall; you have control over your own radiator (one in each room)
- Heat is included in the rent
- Neighbors tend to be quiet (soundproofing between apartments isn't that great)
- Kitchen and bathroom were remodeled recently
- Shower gets lots of hot water at high pressure
- Apartment itself is safe - no issues with packages being stolen even if you leave them for days
- Lots and lots of closets, cupboards, and storage space in general
Cons:
- One of the bedrooms (for a 2-bedroom apt) has no closet
- The bedrooms get almost no sunlight - the windows look out onto the side of the next building
- The laundry machines (coin-operated) are on the first floor and require you to go outside to access
- The outlets are positioned in such a way that you have to get creative with extension cords
- They allow up to 2 cats, but charge $50/month extra per cat
- There's a waitlist to get parking behind the apartment; if you don't get a spot, you have to park at the public uncovered lot at the end of the street

Convenient location, old building
I've had a decent experience living in the Biltmore so far. Living on the top floor means that I get more sunlight than most other units here (since the building is taller than its neighbors), but also have to climb up 3 flights of stairs. Property manager seems to live on site so all of my service requests have been dealt with within the day. The built-in appliances are functional, but be aware that since the building is old, there's definitely room for improvement (especially the shaky windows). Heat is centrally controlled and free, which has been awesome. AC unit not included, but I survived my first summer with a mini fan. About 15 min from school, Cedar-Fairmount area, and RTA station. Covered parking spots in the back and a permit lot just down the street. Dogs not allowed, but cats allowed for an extra fee.
