Great management and amenities

The experience living at Palladian Place has been wonderful for me. It has a really large gym, and there is a very modern lounge exclusive to the floor I’m on; I often use the lounge to do interviews. The management team is very responsive; whenever I put in a maintenance request in the online portal, someone would come to fix it within a day. There are also many fun community events. The only disadvantage is its distance to Duke, which is about 15 minutes drive, but that is completely compensated with how amazing the apartment is.

- Amenities: clean and beautiful clubhouse, super large gym, big dog park, nice top floor lounges.
- Management: friendly management staffs, various community events.

Cons:

- Pest issues: there are cockroaches around and in the building, but you can let the office know and they will send pest control.

Palladian Apartments

Great complex; Free Parking; Nice apartment gym, pool, disk golf course; Garages available; High ceilings, plenty of space, bathrooms are nice, walk-in closets and rooms are good size for price. 12 mins away from campus. A wood-lined corner complex

Apartment Unit:

Large floorplan, lots of windows and upgraded features included all appliances. Wood in common areas and carpet in bedrooms, interior hallways for unit entrances.

Apartment Amenities:

HUGE dog park, 1 mi loop walk/run trail, next door to disc golf park, plenty of parking, a gym with weights/machines, Peloton bike, TRX and floor equipment, varied depth pool and lounge area, and separate grill areas for every building. Complex is tucked back in a corner surrounded by trees and a park, but is right next to I-40 exit/on ramp.

Management company:

Nice group, smaller company than some of the other management firms. Maintenance staff is very responsive and efficient. There are community events and hang out opportunities.

Great place to live!

Great value- we get way more value than the price we pay! Amenities are best in the Triangle and have had no problems with the unit at all. MY only negative comment is the secluded location provides no walkability to grocery, restaurant, etc.

Great location and wonderful amenities

I've loved living right between the downtown areas of Chapel Hill and Durham. The commute to work is very convenient. The amenities at the location are wonderful and I've enjoyed taking advantage of them while living here, especially the gym. Similarly, it's a great place to have pets! There are many others that have their pets here and a convenient dog park by the main building.

Great place, but you pay for what you get

Great amenities, fairly new construction. Well maintained, nice gym. Convenient to 54 and 40, a 15-30 minute drive to campus depending on traffic. No utilities included. Pets allowed but with a fee AND pet rent per pet.

You get what you pay for, and you will pay for this place.

Getting around Chapel Hill

It's very quiet: mostly graduate students and some families. Very convenient for getting to McColl. It is tucked away in the corner of campus so if you want to walk anywhere, it takes about a mile to get into campus. I would recommend having a car for this neighborhood since there are no grocery stores within walking distance.
Love being right on Franklin street. Walking distance to football games and tailgates as well as restaurants and bars on Franklin.
Lots of food options around the building. I regularly walk my dog in the area around the apartment.
The neighborhood is mostly for other UNC students.
Carrboro is really cool, if slightly offbeat place to be. Weaver St Market and a bevy of other restaurants/smaller places make it a good food hub. For things going on, there are things like the Carrboro Arts Fest, weekly "Carrboro Street Markets" with lots of vendors, and a flurry of other community-oriented activities.

Have enjoyed my time there.
Lots of stores, gym in neighborhood, church, groceries--basically a little town. Con is that it almost feels a bit "Pleasantville." That said, the Walmart up the road (<2 min) is wonderful as is Fig & Honey and the huge Harris Teeter (<5 min away) in Chatham county. Families and children amidst Med School students and retirees. Great feeling, awesome convenience to UNC and downtown CH. Highly recommend.
Neighborhood feels super safe. Little kids will like the playground on-site. Lots of friends for them to play with. Elementary school (Glenwood) is awesome, if not old. Plenty of community events to meet people and for kids to play. I like it here, and recommend it to most people.
The neighborhood is very convenient for business grad students, however, it is far from everything else. You need to get a car for everything, except going to school. It still compensates, given that uber is cheap in the region and the convenience to go to school is amazing.
