What a shame!

TL;DR: The absolute WORST rental experience of my life.
I am paying $5,598 to get out of my lease. That’s how bad it is!

I moved in several months ago from a different apartment complex on the Beltline, and here’s a summary of my experience.

-Refrigerator consistently not working for weeks, even months, despite maintenance “repair”
-Missing packages
-Car break-ins
-Limited visitor parking
-Management is rude and unresponsive
-MANY dogs off the leash in the complex

There are much better complexes on the Beltline. I urge you to keep looking!

Location is prime

This building is a little older and the gym is nothing to write home about, but the location is pretty unbeatable and the management team is very responsive (rare in this area). As someone who moved to Atlanta from NYC and misses the walkability of a big city, the location of 755 North is perfect - you can walk to a huge grocery store and many bars and restaurants within a few minutes on the beltline. Parking is also very good compared to other buildings in Atlanta.

Good, but expensive

755 is a generally well managed and maintained apartment, with a few high points and a few drawbacks:
Pros:
1. Location. Can't really beat the beltline, and 755 is about as close to central to everythign as you can get. 1 mile to piedmont park, slightly less to krog, and a 5 minute walk to Ponce City Market.
2. The apartments themselves are well maintained and the maintenance team is super responsive, even for tiny requests like getting a lightbulb changed. They are very flexible about letting you make modifications to your unit as long as you remove everything on your way out if it's not approved to keep.
3. The front staff are super nice and generally willing to help you resolve problems.

Cons:
1. Parking is a pain. The lot is always full and you often have to go all the way to the uncovered roof deck for a spot. You can't let guests in to the gate without physically going down to use your clicker for them, even though visitor parking is permitted on the top floor of the deck. If you live in building two, you may have a decent walk to get to your car.
2. The Fetch package service they use in place of having packages delivered directly to your apartment is spotty. Most of the time it works great, but sometimes you really need something on time and that's usually when they are delayed by a day or two. They used to have an on site locked package room that they closed because they had too many packages for the office staff to manage.
3. Just as you get all the great positives of living on the beltline, you get the negatives too including super loud music late into the evenings on occasion, and your random terrible singer who decides to post up next to the columns to busk.

Great for new-to-Atlanta folks

We’ve loved it at 755. Super walkable area, right on the beltline and less than 5 min walk to ponce city market, Kroger, new realm etc. Quick commute to Emory too - never more than 15 minutes either way.

Pretty Quiet/ Convenient

It's relatively expensive, but it's in an optimal location (on the beltline, across the street from Ponce, right next to a Kroger)

So far has been great for me as a student- really quiet and only about 10-12 minutes to campus with minimal traffic.

The apartment itself is really nice. It's relatively new and has the amenities you'd expect.

755North is an excellent community

I leased my apartment at 755North sight unseen, and I haven't regretted it for a moment. The building is brand new with top of the line amenities. The leasing office staff is extremely friendly, remember me by name, and responsive to my needs. Maintenance requests are fulfilled by the very next day. The location can't be beat - walking distance to bars, restaurants, Piedmont Park, Inman Park, and you're right on the Beltline. Great pool, full gym. Highly recommended!

755 North - Great location but that's about it!

Pros: 755 has the best location imaginable. (Well, for the next year it might suck due to the construction of the new Kroger and office buildings where Murder Kroger is.) The apartments are laid out well, there are a washer and dryer in the walk-in closet, and there is a patio or balcony with every unit. It is VERY pet friendly! The pool area is great and there are two gas grills for community use. Living on the beltline is great, and everything you need is within walking distance. PCM is right next door, and you can walk to a bunch of great restaurants there or in Inman Park.

Cons: We have a neighbor who is moving out due to mold her in closet because of the humidity in the units (her clothes and shoes were ruined beyond repair). The caulk in our tub has been replaced twice and within a week both times it shriveled up and I have found ants coming out of the holes. My least favorite part of this is the management - why is there no 24/7 concierge? It is frustrating to have a package waiting for you in the office but you can't get it if you work business hours.

Central location, modern building

Great location on the beltline, lots of floorplan options available, modern amenities (stainless steel appliances, washer and dryer included)

Huge balcony, huge bathroom, versatile kitchen island.

Community fee required for common area utilities. Valet trash (for a price, but is convenient).

Poncey-Highland Reviews

This is the sole neighborhood I would live in if I were moving to Atlanta again - Virginia Highlands, and specifically Poncey Highlands, is central to everything and very accessible from most other parts of the city. A lot is walkable, and if not, a short Uber/drive away. Great bars and restaurants that many classmates end up finding themselves at on weekends, saving a lot of time and money commuting. It is a short drive to campus, and also a very safe neighborhood. There is also a Publix literally across the street from the building.
I love the neighborhood. There's a lot of park access and tons of food. It's a pretty quick drive to most places in atlanta. One downside is that ponce de leon can get busy. I've never had to wait a length of time that was unacceptable, but I have been slowed down by a few minutes depending on the time of day. Driving to class takes about 13-16 minutes depending on the time.
Not as walkable as Midtown, but the beltline and lots of new development makes restaurants, shops, recreation and work more accessible than many other neighborhoods.
Love the neighborhood - really in the middle of all the action and tons of cool bars, restaurants, etc to check out
The only downside to the neighborhood is sometimes the street noise can be a bit loud. Walk, bike, drive, take the bus.
Very convenient for all needs - school, social, etc. Easy walk to a lot of great locations.
Everything you'd need within walking distance or a short drive away.
In the Poncey-Highlands, there is everything you need, and more! Plenty of grocery stores, fantastic shop, and plenty of eclectic bars and coffee shops. Within less than a mile, I can walk to dozens of delicious restaurants! And there is a bar for everyone, and every mood!
