Shoreham & Tides reviews and highlights
- convenient facilities including a gym, sauna, hot tubs, an outdoor pool, and lounge area
- building is in near-pristine condition
- gorgeous city views
- on the pricier side
- absolutely perfect location in downtown Chicago
- beautiful community neighborhood of hi-rises
Great Building and Great Location
Located slightly north of Millennium Park, the Tides is a great place to live. They have a grill, and a picnic area, a balcony, and a really spacious kitchen. There is a washer and dryer in the apartment, and a pool and sauna in the building! We are a 2 minute walk to the grocery store, and about a 5 minute walk from the lake. Nothing bad to say, except that this place is very pricey

Beautiful Location & Community in the City
Location is key for this one. The Tides is a beautiful community neighborhood of hi-rises in downtown Chicago. You have gorgeous views and an unbeatable location to Millennium/Grand/Maggey Daley Parks to your south, the lakeshore surrounding you to the east, the River walk/Navvy Pier to your north west and don't forget city views. You are steps from downtown shopping, Mariano's is right at your doorstep and the grass area with the dog park and kids park is unbeatable. The staff makes you feel like they are a part of your family and the amenities in the building (spas, pool, gym, doorstaff, dry cleaners, shuttle bus) are right at your fingertips. This building is dog friendly on hi floors with beautiful views, which are hard to come by. (Most rentals with pet friendly floors are on the bottom floors)
I absolutely love living here, but it comes with a cost. The space in your unit's available is limited in size, your rent for a one bedroom will cost you no less then $2000 a month. Parking is an extra $250+. It's a great place to be in for a while, but long term not a great investment for your pockets. I love living here :)

The Loop Reviews
Very close to the lake and navy pier
Great park surrounded by all the buildings.
There’s good supermarket that has everything. A couple restaurants and coffee shops are also there.
That being said, if you're anywhere near State St. or the Mag mile, there's pretty much people around at any given hour. It's fun to live downtown because the streets are bustling with interesting people, sometimes there's live music on street corners and there are a lot of restaurants and shops.
