Italian Village is full of a growing community that brings the neighborhood its shape. Located just north of downtown, here you’ll find an increasing number of homes and businesses. The Slate
Short North is a really awesome neighborhood in Columbus. However, given the demand for walkable neighborhoods in Columbus with food nearby, there is a premium paid for the Short North which i'm not sure is ultimately worth it. Restaurant cost down here is high, and a bit prohibitive. Definite concern with crime, as several businesses down here have boards up, and window smashing of businesses and cars are not uncommon. Personally, i've had hundreds of dollars of stuff stolen off my bike due to the fact that anyone can get into the garage.
All in all, an awesome neighborhood if you want walkability and easy access to downtown, campus, and Clintonville.

Short North has everything you want if you want to be social and close to everything downtown. I do not have to drive anywhere and at worse, take a scooter.

Outside of the small area the apartment complex and adjoining complexes are there is not much but a few blocks away and easily walkable is the short north.
