Upper Boggy Creek is, at its core, a whimsical wonderland boasting backyard BBQs, picnics, and urban gardens. The natives of this quiet, casual neighborhood actively pursue the upkeep and maintenance of their community. The food is locally sourced, the art is homemade and proudly displayed, the coffee is strong and there's always a unique twist involved. You can test out this theory with coffee and yoga at the Cherrywood Coffeehouse, or with a relaxed dinner at Dai Due or Hoover’s Cooking.

Renters here are active members of their community. They enjoy the laidback residential area and it’s perfect proximity to both Downtown and the University of Texas. Residents come from all different walks of life and often include young families with children.

I love this neighborhood! You're right on Manor so there's lots of bars and restaurants nearby, but you're also around residential neighborhoods so it's easy to go on walks and look at all the pretty houses. :) I also love East Austin generally so it's nice to be on this side of I-35.

So quiet. Lots of families and post-grad people. Great for walks and runs. I have a driveway as well as street parking. I have lived in Hyde Park and Terrytown, but nothing compares to living in Cherrywood!

I haven't seen or heard of any problems. I don't see shady people wandering around. Day or night, it's pretty mellow. There's a convenience store, restaurant, and bar all within very close walking distance.

Quiet, family-friendly, walkable to East Campus, very close to quieter social scenes in East Austin. Really fantastic if you are a quieter or just older student. Walking distance to a great coffeehouse and less than a five minute drive to tons of social areas and parks.

I love this neighborhood! It is super close to campus (it's very easy to bike to UT). Great coffee shops (Cherrywood Coffeehouse, Thunderbird, Halcyon) within walking distance. Two HEBs very close by.

The only con is that the bus lines aren't as convenient (the 10 is the only option and is a bit of a walk ~10 min).
