Good for Wallet and your Social Life
The apartment is much better than anticipated! My views are AMAZING, and I only pay $1120 a month. The kitchen is functional, there’s lot of space, and I love being able to go to every pregame without leaving the building.

MPP is very livable
MPP is fine to live it, if you’re coming from Boston or NYC, the apartments are very spacious. The amenities are not good, but who needs them as a grad student??

No complaints - great for Boothies
Better square footage, upkeep, finishes, and amenities — at a much better price — than you can get in NYC, San Francisco, Austin, etc.
On top of that, MPP is I ncredibly conveniently located for access to the lake, the lakeshore trail, Millennium Park, grocery stores, restaurants, bike lanes, stores, and public transit… the Metra station is literally across the street and it takes 2 minutes (no exaggeration) to go from the lobby down to the train track for the 15-20min train to campus.
It’s also great when it comes to the Booth community, because so many students live here, in this building, or within one block of here. It’s luxurious to walk to study groups, dinner parties, or apartment parties in your slippers, without a jacket.

It’s fine
Nothing amazing but nothing crappy. The building is a bit run down

Convenient location but out of date
MPP is a convenient building to live in and convenient for UoC graduate (Booth) students but it is lacking in amenities and its style / features might indicate one should look at nearby alternatives (MILA and 73ELake). Doorman situation is lacking and card technology is outdated / hard to use. Gym is good for treadmills but otherwise uninspiring. No outdoor pool space. Rooms are old with weird fixtures and lots of old wall-wall carpet. No disposals or good ventilation above stove. Very high (c. 200+/month) heating bills in the winter. Bad (c. 150+) in peak summer for AC. Transit convenience is a plus.

MPP Review
The apartment itself is fine. The common space is pretty small, as well as the bedrooms aside from the master bedroom. Walls are super thin, appliances aren't great, and the staff are generally pretty rude, especially at the package center. That being said, it's by far the cheapest option and it's also the center for Booth's social scene. If you want to be social and save money, live at MPP.

Fine Apartment While in School
This apartment is filled with students. Fine place to live when you have no income coming in and have to live here. Otherwise, you could get way better bang for your buck living elsewhere

Cheap and easy
MPP is a great value option compared to the other options in the Loop - and to be clear, it's still the most spacious apartment I've lived in. It's just so convenient to live across the street from the Metra and live in the same building as so many other classmates. The Loop isn't an ideal location overall given so many other neighborhoods in Chicago are nicer, but it's a no brainer given everyone else lives nearby.

The Loop Reviews
Very close to the lake and navy pier
Great park surrounded by all the buildings.
There’s good supermarket that has everything. A couple restaurants and coffee shops are also there.
That being said, if you're anywhere near State St. or the Mag mile, there's pretty much people around at any given hour. It's fun to live downtown because the streets are bustling with interesting people, sometimes there's live music on street corners and there are a lot of restaurants and shops.
