Living hear has been great. The place is affordable and overall a great value. The management is very responsive and will get things fixed often the same day. Only drawback is a small kitchen space.

Good value for cozy apartments, with caveats

I like this apartment, but the neighbors can be very noisy and it takes management a while to fix things.

Great Apartment and Excellent Value

My experience at Briarhill has been very positive. My apartment has plenty of space and is a really reasonable price for a 2-bed-2-bath layout. The staff are friendly and helpful, and although I've had a few minor maintenance issues, management is very responsive and each time sent someone to fix the problem within 24 hours (even though the problems weren't urgent.) No problems with bugs, and neighbors have been good. My only complaint is that the walls are quite thin, so it can occasionally be noisy.

Good price for what you get

The apartment is cute and is a good amount of space overall for 2 people, but the kitchen is rather small. Our management is very responsive and has been fantastic about sprucing up the apartment which is great. My only major complaint is that there have been a lot of days when the water is shut off. To be fair, I think this is more of a city issue than our management, but it is still frustrating.

Review

The one complaint I have about this apartment complex is that the water is often shut off due to maintenance issues, making it inconvenient if you are at home the majority of the day.

Briarhill - Pretty Darn Good

I lived at the Briarhill apartments for three years before getting engaged and moving into my fiance's home. And it turned out to be a really nice place to be.

Although it's near busy roads, it felt quiet and secluded with lots of trees surrounding the property, the staff was always friendly and courteous and quick to respond to maintenance requests I had, and although it wasn't fancy or new, my apartment was homey and comfortable and good for me. Best of all, it was affordable for a young professional woman just a few years out of college to pay for on her own in addition to utilities, a car payment and normal living expenses.

Some people had issues with safety - cars getting broken into or apartments being left unlocked, but I never did, nor did I ever feel unsafe while I was living there. I would certainly recommend it to people looking to stay in Atlanta but not go broke in the process.

Getting around North Druid Hills

North Druid Hills Reviews

It's a prime location for getting around the city! I can get to midtown, Decatur, inman park, etc. in about a 20 min drive or less. The drive to school each morning is about 10-15 mins with little to no traffic. The area is safe with tons of restaurants and shopping. The only downside is that it's not close to any prime nightlife scene, but Ubers aren't too expensive. Incredibly safe which is something I was looking for as a woman living alone. There's no perfect place, but for the amount of space I have (850 sq ft), safety, proximity to school, and easy access to other areas in the city, it can't be beat.
North Druid Hills is a lovely neighborhood and one that I am happy to be living in as my first exposure to Atlanta. There are beautiful tree lined streets and its proximity to Emory is a great selling point.
Beautiful houses and trees, calm, quiet community.
It's an open area with trees. Very close to Emory campus as well as the Toco Hills plaza (Kroger, Publix, many restaurants). Further down Clairmont at the intersection with North Decatur road, there's another Publix as well as some other restaurants in the plaza.

Golden Drop Cafe--which has outdoor seating incase the pandemic is still uncontrolled when you read this--is just 3 min. down the road. Mason Mill Park, which has tennis courts, a pavillion, and walking trails, is also very near.
Very convenient location as far being somewhat close to a lot of different areas though it itself isn't where the night life or all the best restaurant areas are. Lots of grocery options very close by, including Whole Foods, Krogers and Publix.
My wife and I love walking through the beautiful homes in the local neighborhood. It is a very safe area even at night.
You can find any type of store or restaurant that you would ever need within a 5-15 minute drive.
My wife and I go on walks around sunset most nights through the neighborhood. Have never felt unsafe. Neighbors are all very friendly along our walks. Lots of beautiful homes to gawk at.
