Definitely recommend (if you don't mind commuting)
The experience has been pretty great. The rent price can't be beat, they allow up to three pets which allowed us to get another cat, we have a beautiful view of Ford Lake, a big balcony, and basically no issues with our apartment.
The main downsides would be that we get a good amount of bugs that come in as we go in/out to the deck since we're right on the lake, sometimes our across the hall neighbors will get into loud arguments that we can hear, and my commute to campus ends up being about 30 minutes each way (20 to get to a commuter lot, 10 to bus to campus). Overall my complaints are minor though compared to my enjoyment of our apartment.
