Sufficient For My Needs
Overall it is fitting for what I was looking for in an apartment: I wanted to live alone for a price that is cheaper than living on campus, I wanted the place to be pretty quiet compared to living on campus, a clean bathroom, and I wanted the unit to be renovated within the last 5 years.
- Pros: only pay electricity and laundry, free wifi, quiet, relatively cheap, nice neighbors, transportation shuttle provided by UCA.
- Cons: smells like smoke/weed in the building, no elevators, no central A/C, building is old and the renovations are bare minimum (ie. walls still cracked/paint uneven/carpet is dingy), sometimes not all the way cleaned in between when one resident leaves and another moves in (ie. still had lots of hair in the carpets from last resident when I moved in).

Apartment Complex in West Philadelphia
Webster Manor is located in between 43rd street and 42nd, a few blocks away from campus. The best part about the apartment is the location. The apartment is a half a block away from the beautiful Clark Park, a hub of the vibrant community living in the Spruce Hill neighborhood. The apartment itself is spacious and cheap, although the building is very old. There are cockroaches and mice.

Cozy, Quiet, Affordable
It's not the fanciest apartment but it's perfect for me. The heat is free and plentiful and the laundry is cheap and accessible. Security is seriously lacking and the front door to the building slams EXTREMELY loud (I live right above it so I may be the only one affected by that). The pests are at a minimum and the management company has been helpful so far. It is situated on a block full of family houses so is kept very nice and quiet for the most part. I would recommend this place to someone looking for a simple place in a great location.

Webster Manor is overall not a good place to live.
My floor is on a slant. Cockroaches are a problem. The management didn't know who I was supposed to contact to get cable TV (it's Comcast). Once I got Comcast hooked up I realized I have terrible reception, and the Comcast technician who came determined that it was a problem with the cable inside my wall, which he couldn't get to; I have contacted management roughly 5 times about this problem and they have yet to do something about it. Also washer/dryer units are out of order sometimes.
