I've really enjoyed living in Vantage. The apartment itself is very nice - especially the kitchen. Large windows with lots of light and a view of the city. It is convenient for me to get to campus taking public transport and I enjoy the downtown Oak Park area. It is also very easy to take the Metra into Chicago. I live in a two bedroom with my brother, so splitting the rent makes it more affordable - it would probably be too expensive for me to live in a one bedroom here. Garage parking is available for those who drive for $150, which is one of the lower rates I have seen in the area. I also enjoy the gym and proximity to green space. The building is also very pet friendly. Many of my classmates live in Oak Park which makes it easy to meet up with friends or to study.

Living at Vantage has been really nice for me! Living in a studio apartment, it is very spacious, lots of closet space and kitchen cabinet space, in unit washer/dryer. Parking garage is safe and so convenient since its directly connected to the building. Has some nice amenities: gym, conference/study rooms, social room (couches, TVs, common kitchen and bathrooms), outdoor patio with grills. I love that it is secure, safe, and clean. Located right in downtown oak park makes it convenient around lots of shops and restaurants. Really good management and maintenance. Is on the pricier side I would say which is a con–there is also a common electric fee (~$50) that is different from your own electric bill.

The apartment is clean, comfortable, has effective A/C and heating (which was not the case at other high rise apartment complexes), in unit washer/dryer, dishwasher, a shower/tub combo, a gym, garage parking, rec room, and other amenities. The building seems secure, management and maintenance are friendly and responsive, and the apartment units get a lot of natural light, which was important for me to maximize.

Negatives: the units are pricey, as is pet rent and parking. There are no overhead lights in the bedroom or living room (unfortunately common among the high rise apartments in Oak Park). The mail/package room is disorganized.
