Convenient to GW, many graduate students
The building is well maintained. The maintenance and management staff are responsive. Having a front desk to collect packages is nice. Utilities and amenities are reasonable. Many GW graduate students live here because it is close to the GW campus. The building is just blocks away from a Trader Joe's and a Whole Foods, and Georgetown is right nearby. The Foggy Bottom Metro is also a 5 minute walk away.

Claridge house review
The management of Claridge house is excellent. Central heating is a plus and electricity and gas included is nice as well. Probably one of the more well blended units in terms of residents with a wider range of ages living here, however it can still skew towards GW undergraduates/post-grads which can make for some noisier units.

Good but dated
Good place, but dated. Work is constantly being done on the water, we can barely control the heating/cooling, and some parts of the apartment are falling apart. Great front desk, and generally spacious with decent amenities.

Great Location
The apartment is great because it is a short walk to campus. It's mostly quiet and has a lot of great amenities. I love having a gym in the building for days when it's very cold and I don't want to venture outside. Having the utilities covered is also a nice bonus. The staff is very accommodating and friendly, and I can trust that when my packages are delivered they will take care of them. It definitely has more of a community (even almost dorm-like) feel. In the future, I would probably go for an apartment that is more my own, but then I would lack some of the benefits. It has it's benefits and downfalls, but overall mostly benefits!

Claridge House
The Claridge House is a great building. The amenities are great. I use the gym a lot. The gym has good equipment and is clean. I also use the vending machines in the basement a lot. I mostly have no problems to report except that the building is getting a bit old so sometimes the repairs do not work. I put in a few requests to get my shower fixed (it had started leaking) and the shower has not worked very well since then. Besides that, it is a great apartment building.

Beware of rodents
Terrible problem with mice and possibly other rodents, apparently infests them every year and management does little about it. They bring in pest control people every week starting in the fall to band-aid it with laughably ineffective traps but they never solve the underlying problems unless you are extremely insistent and demand they fill in all possible entryways into yor aparement. Building clearly needs serious renovations.
