Ideal property, bad management

Property itself is very nice - wood floors, updated appliances, in-unit W/D, parking. And location is blocks from grocery, restaurants, etc. Management is complicated due to split governance between condo association and mgmt company - and includes some tedious rules/fees around move in/out. Day-to-day has been fine, but can require a more independent renter since you technically interface with the condo owner (and have to coordinate any maintenance/etc yourself)

The neighborhood has a good number of restaurants, coffee shops, and boutiques, and they aren't overcrowded by undergrad students. As soon as you step a block or two away from Chicago Ave, it is quiet and residential.
This is a family-friendly neighborhood with many parks, stores, restaurants, and other small businesses. There are panhandlers in the neighborhood, but they generally don't cause many problems. The proximity to many forms of transportation is very convenient.
Quiet and convenient neighborhood. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes, stores, etc., including some local businesses, especially near the intersection between Chicago Ave and Main St. There are stations for Purple Line and Metra trains.
Its safe, has good restaurants nearby, the supermarkets are very close and train station is just there. The only thing against is that the bars are about 20 mins or 30 mins away
All of Evanston's grocery stores in one place - Trader Joe's, Jewel Osco, and both Whole Foods. A bit further from Kellogg but still convenient.
This was more residential than I thought, did not feel like I was living in the city at all. close to transport.
Located on Chicago Ave a little south of downtown Evanston. Directly across the street from Trader Joes and next to Jewel Osco. Starbucks across the street, plenty of small shops, dry cleaners, hardware store, bike shop, gas station, etc. Everything you need is very close by.
Great access to public transportation (CTA station, intercampus shuttle, bus), bars and restaurants (Starbucks, Union Pizza, etc), supermarkets (Jewel Osco, Trader Joes and Whole Foods all in 2 blocks). Not too close to campus, but 8 min if you ride a bike.
