DO NOT LIVE AT BULLHOUSE
While the apartments are nice and the rent is reasonable (save for some hidden fees) compared to other nearby apartments, there are many hidden costs to living at Bullhouse. Management is terribly unresponsive, including to genuine emergencies. During our first few months here, my wife and I were locked out of our apartment and, on another occasion, our fire alarm began beeping in the middle of the night and never stopped (and we were unable to manually stop it). During both occasions, we were unable to reach anyone at management, including through their emergency management contact number. Other disasters include: apartment units next to us completely flooding; fire alarms, building wide and in our unit, going off in the middle of the night (often multiple times each night) every other month or so; and a bug infestation for which the buildings pest control did nothing about for weeks. Bullhouse may be a cheap place to live, but it’s been an awful experience. The savings are not worth it. Find somewhere else to live.

Gross
Property is disgusting. People do not clean up after themselves and leave trash everywhere.

Headaches every week
The apartment itself is pretty nice, but seemingly every week we've lived there, we've experienced an enormous headache. Alarms going off; trash piling up and blocking exits; management being unresponsive or impossible to reach; our smoke alarm begins beeping in the middle of the night, and can only be turned off by maintenance (who are also impossible to reach in emergencies); and flooding in numerous apartments next to us.

Great living experience
I love being close to everything in downtown. Most of the restaurants and bars that I would want to go to are within walking distance. The leasing office is extremely friendly and helpful as well. It is a little bit on the expensive side and not as many other Duke Law students live here as I would like, but I still loving being at BullHouse

Nice Downtown Apartment
While I would not go as far as saying Bullhouse is a luxury apartment, it's nice and I have enjoyed my time here. The downtown location is nice; however, new buildings are going up on two sides, there's a train on one side and the highway on the other side. So being in the middle of everything comes at the cost of constant noise--the train is by far the loudest, and comes regularly from early in the morning (~6am) to late at night (~10pm). The rent comes with internet, cable, HBO, and trash pick up at the door. I spend an additional $80 or so on electricity, water, heating/cooling per month. I think I got an excellent deal on my apartment compared to what other people paid for similar quality in other apartment complexes, or even in other apartments in my building. I would expect prices to be much higher than what I paid now that the building is at capacity—my floor plan (1 bed) is now $1450/month.
