Overall rating 7.9/10, based on 18 renter reviews Write a review
Decent but can be pricey.
Parking is an extra 50 a month (more if you park in the garage), electricity is paid through their app and tends to vary for everyone. Can be as low as 12 dollars, sometimes its 150. There is security, so that is a nice bonus. Someone is ALWAYS available at the concierge desk. The backyard is a nice touch (basketball, pool hot tub, grills, pet parks, a kiddo park, couches with fire pits. The gym/ cycle room doesn't have a lot of equipment but we have the school gym so it's not bad. There are free workout classes every day of the week. The lounge on the first floor is usually overtaken by the students living here so its usually quiet and a good place to study if you need to get out of your apartment. I have never once heard my neighbors and they are very pet friendly here. I honestly have no complaints :)

a bit overpriced, amenities not as valuable as expected
In part our negative experience was because of COVID, but in other ways it was not. The building has a dog care business on the lower level that can provide day care and will even come up to your unit and walk your dog for you. This service had huge value to us, but then the pandemic meant one of us was working from home 100% of the time and that lost a lot of value. Though the gym space is nice looking, the equipment is depreciating quickly. The building also provided FREE gym classes. However, even before the pandemic, these were incredibly unreliable (the sign up app was either inaccurate or the instructor wouldn't show up) and scheduled at times incredibly inconvenient to working people (earliest 7:15 am, so if you have to shower/dress/commute by 8:30/9 you're cutting it very close). There is a single basketball/tennis court, but when we asked to use it as a tennis court apparently no one knew how to set it up, the net was frayed, and the pulleys rusted. Parking is expensive and if you come home late it becomes very hard to find a spot. Fixed water bill is expensive, because the toilets never stop running, the multi-jet showers use a ton of water, and they keep the outdoor pool heated year round. The building maintenance staff is pretty great, they've fixed everything I've asked about quickly. In conclusion, the place looks nicer than it ended up being.

A Good Option
Clean, well-maintained. There is a 24/7 front desk staff that checks in visitors, retrieves packages, watches security cameras, etc. and a gate guard at night and on weekends. It can be a bit of a pain to get in and out of (large building, parking lot is one way) and the elevators break frequently (however, there are several so it has never been a problem). Compared to other apartment buildings in the area, I have had no issues with insects or rodents of any kind. The gym is small but adequate for my needs. The pool is wonderful! I do not have a dog, but the complex is very dog friendly and there are a lot of DUCOM students that live in the building. The biggest downside is rent is S T E E P.

Alright but management is horrible
It is good but the management is not great. The building is very nice and the windows make it such a great place to study.

Rittenhouse Hill
Rittenhouse hill is a great place to live if you’re attending DUCOM, as it is a 5 minute drive from school and has parking. It is on the more expensive side but the amenities are really nice and I’ve had no issues so far. If you have a pet this is a great place as there is a dog park in the back and many dog owners live here.

Worth the price!
My apartment is spacey and modern. Complete with stainless steel appliances, quartz counter tops, in unit washer and dryer, fancy shower head with jets, and a big walk in closet. Big windows across the whole unit as well which was big for me. It's definitely more on the expensive side for North Philly but it makes it nice to come home. The complex is super pet friendly with a dog park for big and small dogs in the back, as well as dog bag poles all around the complex to clean up after your pet. There's a decent sized gym, big pool, hot tub, big grills, basketball court, and other dope amenities. Definitely come take a tour if you're unsure.

Modern & Clean
I've been at Rittenhouse Hill for two year nows and been loving it! It's very modern and clean with parking on-site. The amenities are incredible. They offer group classes everyday for free and have a great backyard to soak up the sun and hang by the pool.
