Review for Mesa Nueva
The studio is great, but I hope there could be more storage space.

Living here for 1+ year
I'm in one of the studios, it's pretty spacious for 1 person considering that you get the whole place to yourself. There is plenty of storage, some ant problems during the summer but otherwise all good. Rent is abysmally high, though I guess it's just how it is in San Diego if you want to live anywhere close to UCSD.

Mesa Nueva - Cresta - Studio
Pros: The studio comes fully furnished with a refrigerator, bed, desk, and more, so there’s no need to worry about buying furniture. Privacy is excellent, and the soundproofing is good, so you won’t be disturbed by others. The hallway is very clean, with dedicated staff taking care of the cleaning.
Cons: The ventilation in the room is poor. The window only opens slightly, so it can get quite warm in the summer, and cooking odors don’t escape easily. Additionally, the range hood isn’t effective—it doesn’t vent smoke and odors outside. Therefore, the worst part of living in the studio is the air quality.

Review of Mesa Neuva
It is a nice flat but the rooms could have been a little bigger as compared to other housing societies.

Good price and vibes, slightly inconvenient location
Sort of hard to get to places, you will need to walk long distances (20 ish minutes) to everything and it's not close to bus stops (except for the UCSD shuttle).
Other than that, most of the residents are students and the community is very catered towards students. There are also weekly trivia nights and other events so it's a pretty good residential community.
Also, for La Jolla, the rent price is actually decent compared to renting off campus.

Mesa Nueva studio
I live on one of the studios on the first floor, and I wouldn't recommend it. The studio itself was clean, but it has lots of pest problems (silverfish, earwig etc.). Also, being on the first floor, we need to keep our blinds down for privacy, which leads to less sunlight. Highly recommend a different space if you like spacious rooms, less pests and more sunlight.

Best choice for living alone
All fees covered saves a lot of time and effort. No AC is the only problem.

A little on the pricey side
Management response is good. Wish the bedroom was a little larger, especially given the bathroom is incredibly spacious. Small closet and not a lot of storage for large items -- they all go under my bed. Close to campus. Hard to furnish your own apartment though.

Mesa Nueva
What's great about living at Mesa Nueva is that you can live in a studio with a price you would never be able to get from other places in San Diego. Though it is quite small space, I am very much satisfied. Besides Mesa Nueva, I highly recommend living in the Grad Housing as it is very close to the campus and easy to socialize with other grad students.
