It is fine
Honestly not worth the price. Definitely pick Foundry over Overlook. It is fine though but there are just better options around.

Not sure what 'Review Title' is
I enjoy living at Overlook given it's proximity to school and the people I have met while living here. However, I do think it is overpriced and does not include any frills.

A bit pricey, but worth it.
For those preferring not to share their apartment, the Overlook is a good alternative. Close to campus, well managed and kept, it'll make your student life easy.
One feature for which people living in some other buildings will envy you is having your own in-unit washing and drying machines. Doing your laundry in common areas on shared machines is not fun.
Also, the people in charge of the leasing office are very collaborative. Julie and Suzie do a great job there, and are very helpful.
Units in building 3 are slightly more expensive but are better. For example, a studio in building 3 has an eating bar not present in studios from buildings 1 and 2. Also, building 3 is the newest.
Note however, that in building 3, you need to bring your own router which you'll plug to the wall outlet to get internet. Some people come here unaware of that and are inconvenienced by the surprise.
Sometimes noise is a problem. If your neighbor puts his TV volume loud, you may hear the noise in your unit. And sometimes, you hear the music from Danny Boy bar late at night. But this is not a very common problem, because the leasing office seeks to enforce the policy of quiet hours at night. You can get help from them if you run into these issues.
Overall, the Overlook is very good, and if I were to come back to ND, I would undoubtedly come back here. I loved it. Recommended.

Overlook at Notre Dame Review
Overall, I've had positive experiences working with the staff. They've been very kind and generally helpful about a few issues I've had.
My main complaint is that the hot water heater broke in building 3 three times last winter, and we weren't given a break on the rent, even though it was out for about 7 days total.
That said, I decided to stay, because I really like the convenient location. The apartment is also very nice and comfortable with a lot of storage space. I figured it was unlikely the hot water would break again, or I could just shower at the gym at school.
There's a gym that's not great but decent enough to get a pretty good workout. It's also very nice that it's walking distance from the school, because you can't park on campus on football game days.

Overlook - One Bedroom
Apartment is nice, but nothing special. Walls are a little thin, but otherwise everything has worked nicely.

Pricey, but great
Overall, Overlook is a great place to live. It's a 15 minute walk to the business school. The building is relatively new and management is quick to fix standard issues. Sometimes, the communication from management is lacking and you have to push to get atypical requests taken care of. I recommend living here.
