Saves money and is sufficient
There is not much wrong with the Emerson, other than that it is not luxury living. It suffices if you just need a simple place to live for a cheaper price. It is still not cheap, but on the very low end in comparison to the rest of Knoxville. The area is decent, I (being a girl living alone) have never felt unsafe, and there are lots of shops and grocery stores nearby. The drive to school is not bad, 12 minutes on an average morning. In-unit laundry is included in every apartment, which was a priority for me. All appliances are brand new, my apartment has real hard wood floors, and the bathroom is remodeled - these things all give the apartment a really nice look and practical feel, even though the building is old. The maintenance team is great, very prompt and personable. Parking is borderline; it is a free-for-all, but there is almost always a spot open right by my door. The buildings are enclosed and the hall doors lock, but people never keep them locked. The view in my apartment overlooks a courtyard, and I have big picture windows, which are lovely. Overall, I am happy here. There are things I wish the apartment had- more storage space, a balcony, a pool, a gym, cleaner hallways (and I wish people would keep the building doors locked), but these sacrifices are worth the price.

No
Just no. Overpriced, useless office management, and bugs. Also good luck with parking. Just don't recommend to students. Only good thing about this place is how somewhat secluded each unit is.
