University Parallel Graduate Townhomes

The apartment is a <5 minute drive from campus. The management isn’t great and I have 3 roommates, but the rent is pretty much the cheapest in the area, and all utilities are included. My unit and lease was changed multiple times, but we ended up getting a nicer/updated unit for the original price we were going to pay for a worse unit.

University Parallel

Much more affordable option for students - flat rent payment monthly with all utilities included. The walk to campus is about 30 minutes and a 5 minute drive, and there are so many store options nearby. Walking distance for game days.

You get what you pay for..and it is a cheap place to live

I had a lot of trouble getting moved in because the townhomes are largely in disarray. I think it's very hit or miss since they don't keep up with maintenance or cleaning as tenants move in and out. They did help me find a room that would work ok eventually though.

Beware of Scam

1) the way the property is advertised is not reflective of the actual property or units
2) they do not inspect the units (units = bedroom) so you may be assigned into a very poorly maintained home
3) your property manager is going to completely dictate your type of experience

The location is very convenient but amenities are very basic, the grills are not maintained and the “gym” is extremely limited and cramped so it’s rarely used at all.

For my experience, I was placed into a poorly maintained property, felt like a dive bar and my room had a pungent smell of cat urine. The rental furniture was damaged and soiled (blood and urince), the whole home felt like a crack den. I quickly complained and took a lot of pictures to document all the issues.

The property manager at the time was accommodating and was able to relocate me into another unit that is much cleaner (relatively) compared to the original. I still have some issues like ventilation hasn’t been cleaned for some time and some lights don’t work, the wi-fi is okay but some electronics can have trouble connecting, otherwise, it’s just enough to meet student and professional needs.
