Excellent & Fair Landlord!
Extremely close to the law school (about 4-5 minute walk door-to-door). Very quiet, mostly MBA and law students in the building. It's small and I do not control the thermostat, but those are literally my only complaints! The landlord (a family with a U of M student who has operated in AA for decades) are very prompt with responses, friendly, and helpful. Could not recommend more!!

Overpriced, But Close to Law Quad
The rent is high, and goes up by at least $20 per month every two years. On top of the rent, you also average about $90 in DTE and Comcast costs each month, even when being very conservative with the electricity and choosing the cheapest viable internet package. I love the apartment, and how responsive the landlord is, but there are definite drawbacks. The building is close to the Law Quad (a slow walk will get you there in 5 minutes), meaning that the building is in between a row of houses mainly used by fraternity and sorority members. The undergraduate parties happening next door and in houses the next street over are loud, intense, and often on weekdays. Ann Arbor Police will respond quickly to noise violations after 10PM, but they can't do anything about the tailgating parties that wake you up early in the morning, all of the drunk boys who pee in your parking lot, or all of the neighbors who dump jungle juice from a balcony onto your car. Additionally, the heat is controlled by the building's boiler system, which individual tenants don't have access to. You can turn your radiators up or down a little, but if the boiler stops working in the middle of the night or the landlord has decided not to turn on the boiler yet, you're SOL.
That said, the upstairs apartments in this building are beautiful, and the landlord has been very responsive in fixing issues. Having access to laundry next door and parking so close to the school is very convenient. The building tenants are mostly grad students, so you can usually count on the noise from inside the building to be pretty moderate. The landlord is also really big on keeping up to code, so there are lots of well-planned fire escape routes and things like that.

Great spot.
This place is great! It is fifty feet from school, the landlord is amazing, and it's the perfect size for one person. It is loud on game days, but I usually am not home then, so it's not a problem.
There's not a ton of storage, and it's old, but it's so nice to live so close to Ross, especially in the winter.
