Great value near campus
This apartment complex offers the best services. It is the closest off campus apartment complex and the management is very helpful. They will provide services at any and every feasible time.

Well Priced, but Older
Meadowbrook is first and foremost very convenient for students who want to live near campus. It's about a mile to the center of campus, and two bus lines to campus go by the complex at regular intervals. Downtown is a couple miles away, as is shopping like Target, Kohl's, etc.
There are two pools, a gym, a few green spaces, and fairly ample parking; West Campus is also just across the street, which is a great place for walks. The complex is essentially split in two- the older buildings and newer. The old buildings certainly show their age, though appliances and plumbing worked fine.
The studio layout is decent, if a little small, but can be furnished which is nice for those coming out of state. The main issue is noise- the walls (and ceilings, apparently) are very thin, and you can hear a fair bit of other peoples lives. The outside areas of the complex are always fairly quiet, though. Overall, convenient and decently priced for something so close to campus, but older and thin walled.

Decent
I lived across the country before moving here for graduate school, so I had to sign a lease without actually seeing the apartment I was leasing. Another student recommended this complex/company. It worked out really well for my initial situation, and now I can move somewhere else. Management is bureaucratic but predictable. Their policies are clear and maintenance is prompt. The apartments are decent quality. However they are clearly built for the company to make money off you - very poorly insulated windows, cheap caulking around counters, plastic 'tile floors' that come up at the corners, etc. Not enough storage - no extra storage locker or basement space. The location is very convenient for busing/walking to campus.

Great for college students
Not super fancy or anything, but good and spacious for their price. The buildings are older, so the insulation and windows aren't great in the winter so I've had some pretty high electric bills just keeping my apartment at 65 degrees. Overall they're pretty good. Never had any issues with management.

Spacious apartment near West Campus
Great apartment close to West Campus with a short drive to Main campus and Jayhawk Blvd. Lots of natural sunlight and parking, with options for covered parking rentals for the winter. Management is great and respond quickly to any questions or maintenance requests. The apartment complex is a short drive from many grocery stores (none within walking distance) and is right off of Iowa St, giving access to downtown and many shops/restaurants.

I love Meadowbrook!
My experiences have been great. Staff are quick to respond to issues and very accommodating. The building where I live was built in the 1970s and it's fantastic. Very open and good light, very clean. Extremely safe and generally very quiet neighborhood. There are not many better locations to live, especially if you're a law or engineering student. Bus stops literally inside the apartment complex.

Review
They're very good about maintenance requests if they are needed. No problems with management. The gym has no free weights and has minimal other equipment, however there are two pools.
