I love this neighborhood
I ended up living here for 3 years of undergrad and during my 1 year of graduate school. I love this neighborhood so much I convinced many friends to live here too and they loved it as well. Its a big enough apartment to throw some fun parties in too. The neighborhood is pretty quiet and safe, my only complaint is that the landscaping people come at 8 am on mondays and wake me up.

Arlington Trace is the best
I love having high ceilings and a lot of space. It is not a complex filled with undergrads so there’s not too much noise or trash. When people come over they always say “oh, you’re really a grown up!” Very pet friendly and really comfortable place. And there is a gate. My specific townhouse backs up to a field with cows and there’s owls here. So it’s kind of secluded for being so close to campus. I walk to and from class in the winter.

very good property
-typically quiet except nights/weekends
-decent security but gate often is broken
-great yard for kids and small dog park
-sometimes trash is left around too long
-amenities are advertised but not necessarily granted unless you are on a certain part of the property.

Cozy with a side of community
This is truly a great place to live as a student. It is tucked away on brightside drive and easy to make friends with your neighbors. The only downside is that the walls are thin so there’s a chance you hear your neighbors when they have friends over or their dogs bark all day. They are currently updating much of the property. There is a large field on the Summer Grove side that is perfect for throwing a frisbee, letting your dog run, or just enjoying the outside space. There are assigned parking spots with guest parking near the field. It is pretty close to TigerLand which means your neighbors are likely to come back from a night out, walking through the neighborhood on the way back to their townhouse, talking loudly. Management is good as long as you call and communicate the issues, otherwise, they have no clue what is going on because they aren’t there to see it every day.

Review of Arlington Trace/Summer Grove
I have loved living at Arlington Trace for the last 3 years. I stayed in the same place for all of law school. It is the perfect location. It is a safe area, and only 5-10 min. away from campus. It is more of a suburbs area, but you are still only 5 minutes away from grocery stores and restaurants. The only issue is that they are individually owned, so depending on who your landlord is, you might not get responses immediately when something breaks or messes up, it just depends.

Arlington Trace
The space within the apartment is really nice. It has an upstairs and there is plenty of room to move around. However, the walls are paper thin. I can hear every single sound my neighbors make. Sound machines have helped slightly.
