Great community!
I am very thankful for my community as a single girl living alone. I feel extremely safe at all times and it is very easy access to school and my practices!

LIVE HERE
This apartment has been such a great find. I am new to Dallas, and Texas, so the move was very stressful. This complex was super great with communication, and they made it very easy to find a unit that was perfect for my needs. I have access to two wonderful pools, two fitness centers, and underground parking. Even better - it only takes about 5 minutes to get to SMU's campus. I highly recommend this apartment.

Decent apartment if these are not dealbreakers for you:
These are relatively nice apartments. Super easy, <10 minute drive to SMU. The studio is very small and has a weird layout but the one bedroom is a good quality for price. It is quiet. The units are usually in great condition and you should be able to tour them before you decide. Parking is relatively accessible, there are plenty of spots and a personal spot is only $25/month. It is a pretty pet friendly community as there are dog parks inside the gates and many people walk their pets around the neighborhood. The buildings do not have elevators for the apartments on the third floor so if you can't go up multiple flights of stairs regularly, those apartments are not for you. For extra cost, there are some units available with a small front yard and/or individual parking garages. The community amenities seem nice but I have only seen one group of people at the pool ever. The area seems pretty safe but you will see reviews about car break-ins on the street outside our complex. The community is gated and the buildings require a digital key but both are partially negated by residents letting random people in/propping open the door. There is a weird social media site they make you use to pay rent - make sure they don't make a profile for you by which other residents will be able to tell your name and apartment number. The biggest problem with this complex is maintenance and its communication. One of the buildings did not have power in the corridors for a week - meaning the fire alarms, lighting, digital door lock, and A/C were off. This left the building dangerous, unsecured, smelly, and seriously hot with no explanation from management until days in. However, for small repairs, maintenance was usually fast and helpful. Maintenance workers without PPE were a common sight (including people on roof without a harness!). Overall, these apartments (esp the studios) are some of the cheapest reasonable options in Dallas.

Nothing Special
The management is a bit questionable, not always helpful in fixing whatever issues come up. Relatively close to campus, solid amenities. But in general not overly impressed with management or their willingness to help.

Quiet, a little hard to get ahold and management
Overall I like living here. I don't have to worry about any noise or parties that would keep me up before something important. Neighbors are a mix of SMU students, younger adults, small/young families. You are able to use amenities at the Atwood across the street including their dog park and gym, which is a little bigger than the one on property here. Its hard sometimes to get ahold of management. I have sat in the leasing office for about 20 minutes alone before any office workers came (of course calling and using their text service didnt help this because there was no one in the office to answer the phone/text) oddly enough its always office workers form the atwood who resolve my issue. Maintenance is quick and very polite. A small problem with dog poop being left outside but Management seems to be cracking down on it lately
