Unfortunate

A little more expensive than financial aid allocates for. I think the proposed 9,000 a year in expenses for housing. I live with 3 other people, because that is all I can afford and I still need to work and ask parents for money. Yearly I pay closer to 14,000 with everything. I don't know how I would live alone though I definitely need to with distractions as a grad student.

U Club

Loved it, besides having to move because the master bedroom is turning into a shared bedroom space like a dorm.

It’s alright

So, I personally have had no issues. However, American Campus Communities is always changing stuff. When I first moved in, I signed for a Private deluxe bedroom. When it was time to renew, they said that ACC did not want to do private deluxe bedrooms the following year. So I did not renew immediately and tried looking elsewhere. With no luck, I went to renew and had to take a relet for 1004 a month when I had only been paying 769 a month. Now to this year, they’re not doing private deluxes at all, and they are converting them into shared bedrooms. In order to keep my room, I have to pay 1418 a month, to live with two other people, and it’s just not a reasonable price. So , I have to downsize or move. It’s just inconvenient to know that the management company can change whatever they want, and essentially get away with it because the demand for housing is so high. Other than that, it’s a nice property but no stability.

Don’t know what this means

The management company is easy to work with and quick to fix items. The house is not fancy but everything works (even during the ice storm last year).

518 Fifer

Honestly, one of the most reasonably priced places in Oxford (though it doesn't include utilities, they usually cost an additional $100/month). A little far from campus but not too bad, and in a quiet spot. The house itself is great and very large/spacious

I love it!

I really like this location and it is good for a law student because it is quiet and more adults than undergraduate students

Lots of room

The house is spacious but the electricity is high since it’s a townhouse. So far about $150 per roommate. There’s three of us.

Really gone downhill

My friend lived at the archive a couple of years ago and it was awesome. It was the best of the best in Oxford. So when it came time for me to find a place to live I knew where I wanted to be. Over the last 2 years, however, the place has gone downhill significantly. It started when I was locked out of my mailbox for 6 months and unable to receive the textbooks that I needed for that semester. Then the amount of dog crap on the property is crazy high. The gates are basically a formality now, everyone in Oxford knows the gate code and people come to use the gym and pool whenever they want. The gym has broken equipment all of the time and is filled with trash. At one point only one out of six treadmills was operational. The trash pick-up service is terrible. The Trash with raw meat and chicken sat out for over a month this semester attracting an ungodly amount of flies and spiders. people in the apartments around me will literally throw food and trash off of their balconies into the grass so that my dog tries to eat this rotting food sitting right outside my balcony. I am paying the highest rent around town and I am still embarrassed to invite people over to my apartment because it is so disgusting in the hallways and elevator. At one point someone vomited in the only elevator in our building and it was left to sit in there for a couple of days. The landscaping around the buildings is also terrible. Every time the grass is cut my car looks like they flicked the weedeater at it and it is covered in dirt and grass. My biggest advice to anyone looking for a place to live is to avoid the Archive until it makes some serious changes.
