The Chisca On Main

I have overall greatly enjoyed living in the South Main area. I love all the coffee shops and restaurants nearby, and it is fantastic being so close to the river and downtown. The Chisca is overall a nice apartment to live at as well. They were doing some construction for a while, which has now been completed. I love the huge outdoor patio area and the gym included. I have a loft-style one-bedroom, two-bath apartment, and I love the floor plan. The Chisca used to be one of the first hotels in Memphis and has since been renovated. No pool though.

I've been at the Chisca for about 6 months now, and I love it!! Every place has its pros and cons, but my apartment is so unique, with a loft style setup. They only have about 5 of these in the building, and the ceiling is the original ceiling from the building back when it used to be a hotel (Memphis's oldest hotel downtown). There's tons of space, a parking garage (if you're living downtown, it's a MUST to have a parking garage!), and a very easy walk to the great restaurants and coffee shops of the S Main and downtown area, as well as the river (which has the awesome and newly opened Tom Lee Park). There's an upstairs balcony area for residents too. My only complaint is that it can get a little bit loud at night being downtown.

I love my apartment, it is right downtown and very convenient to every thing. It gets pretty noisy, but you get use to it.
